lol

But yeah that sounds a little too good to be true. Where you looking? Ebay? Or locally?

Posted by Brandt Slater on Feb-23-2010 02:17:

If you're looking on ebay just be careful. Pioneer doesn't have any authorized dealers on ebay , nor do they sell their products directly on ebay . No matter what seller tell you.

And if the description has something like "L@@K!" in it, don't touch it. It's spam.

(i know the picture isn't a DJM 800 but i've talked to him and he's confirmed that the picture is not correct.

The cd players in the picture are wrong too.

Is this stuff local?

no it's in Georgia or the UK. he says he has 74 units left so it's not like he's trying to rush me.

i duno. seems like a good deal. too good <_<

Posted by Ted Promo on Feb-23-2010 23:36:

nah dude, he seems to have his ducks in a row. I'd bite.

Posted by mfitterer1 on Feb-24-2010 01:32:

Notice the differences in the price points between the different levels of units. When a cdj 500 is 50 bucks less than a 1000mk3 you know its a scam.

Why do people not just spend the extra month making some extra coin and buying them new from a legit dealer which allows you to get a warranty?

These things are a fortune to fix and you def don't want to be stuck without some protection!

Posted by miamitranceman on Feb-24-2010 01:51:

Total scam dude. Don't do it.

Don't know dude. What's throwing a red flag up for me is the fact that he has 74 units laying around. What exactly does he mean by 74 units? 74 CDJ's, 74 800's, or 74 combos?

When I bought my MK-3's, I payed $2150.00 for a pair. But that was with a $400 discount because I purchase a lot from this store and this particular saleman. They had one in stock and I had to wait a few days for the other one to come in. They had only two more CDJ's in the store, but those were the floor models. I guess the point I'm trying to make here is, I find it hard to believe an authorized dealer would have that many units in stock. To me it seems fishy, but who knows maybe he is legit, dunno. And advertising for a pair 1000's and an 800, but your displaying a photo of something else should make you think.

We're not trying to steer you wrong or anything, we just don't want you to get screwed. Pay all that money and find out, it's not what was advertised, or you get the stuff and find out it doesn't work (and without a warranty the repair bill will suck), or worst case the gear is hot.

Total scam.

Move on.

SCAM

Posted by Jarvmeister on Feb-24-2010 20:09:

When I brought my CDJ1000mk3s x 2 and my DJM800 I managed to bag the deal of the century on them, from an auth Pio reseller in the UK (Decks.co.uk) for a meagre 2300............

Just sayin'........

Posted by BTG on Feb-25-2010 05:19:

yah

i talked to him about how to pay him, he said he didn't accept pay pal but reassured me that he's legit.

his method of payment is moneygram.com which clearly states: "Once the money has been paid out to the person you name as the receiver, cancellation or refund is no longer possible."

so i wont be doing it.

too bad

I'd love to break that users leg. Or even better cut his toes off. Fucking scum of the earth preying on essentially people like you.

Anyway..

How'd you bag that deal Jarv? I recently bought the NI Maschine. Went to buy it from HTFR. They have a ridiculous system whereby you have to submit a stupid amount of identification. Anyway long story short i went back over to decks (paid the 40 delivery to ireland) but the day i bought it the price had dropped by 50. Then the following day it had bumped up back to it's original price. So i literally caught a bargain within a 24 hr period. Delighted!

Posted by Jarvmeister on Feb-25-2010 21:07:

It was November 2006. The deal price was on the net, but was apparently a mistake. I ordered it online, then rang them and asked if the price was right. They said no it wasn't and changed it immediately, increasing the cost by about 300, but they said I could have mine which I thought was jolly decent.
