Who's your favorite hip-hop producer?

We all argue to no end about different types of electronic music on the music discussion forum, but let's talk about something different- who is your current favorite hip-hop producer?

Mine would have to be Kno of Cunninlynguists. I love his southern soul-influenced rhythms and jazzy elements he incorporates into his beats.

Here's two of his better productions from CL's most recent album:

Cunning's been on fire recently.

J. Dilla was pretty solid. Mike Gao has been making some nice stuff. Quannum MCs. Sheeeeit, there's lots.

J Dilla was pretty solid? Like hell he was, he was a fuckin legend.

That aside, one I'd throw in that haven't been mentioned yet:

Nicolay

holy fuck everything this guy does is fucking golden, intro to Foreign Exchange's second album:

and from their first album:

This beat is sick as hell but honestly the lyrics kinda outshine him, christ its good

bronze nazareth. lots of old DITC stuff, unreleased mainly, is just amazing. one of the most underrated hip-hop groups is prose and concepts, especially 'do you know', it's on youtube.

oh and of course, who can forget souls of mischief, the entire hieroglyphics group is class. so much to list

The problem with this song is that none of these MC's can keep up with the greatness of the beat.
