so just coz a dj thats not spinning at Ibiza, means he's not doing well? wat a optimistic view u have if PVD & Tiesto were here during the summer and spinning in Hamilton, you wud say the same thing?
i really hate to see haters on this site. just coz they spin 1 of the best soulful/dark/deep house musik and you can't understand it (like others) doesn't mean their bad djs! im not even gonna get started with Tiesto or other trance dj's, coz most likely i wud get flamed

For this B & H tour, it's only Ali playing. B & H are paying for

My 1st Hamilton "raving" experience

Well, someone already said....Deep Dish = Deep ZZZZZ (personal opinion)......I felt like I was on the dance floor waiting for the track to pick up but then only realize it has come to an end....yes, extremely progressive which I expected, but I've never seen Deep Dish and wanted to get a chance to do so!

I thought it was alright progressive, although the club didn't help in getting into the music.....the sound was just pure crap, I can get better feeling sound if I turn up my stereo in my room....you couldn't even feel the bass and whats even worse is that its a pretty small place so you would think they'd manage some decent sound in there.....but I guess not!!? Also, there was a lack of people which is expected because probably nobody in Hamilton has heard of Deep Dish, but the people that showed up were real fans I suppose!

Thats about it, I think that was the 1st and last time I rave in Hamilton.........as for Deep Dish....I'm sure they were surprised to find themselves there as well!

dude, I'm a HUGE deep dish fan =), but its strikes me as weird that they're playing in Hamilton isntead of TO

ok

Im confused...
Was it Deep Dish? Or Sharam?
Cause Ive seen Deep dish 3 times and love them! Wicked deep progresive. I guess you have to be a house fan to enjoy their style. They arent trance if thats what you are looking for.

deep dish = dubfire + sharam (I believe)

.. is there anything that distinguishes the two?

Well I was in Ottawa for this one and I had to leave Surface at 1:30am. I was literally falling asleep.

Who was the dj spining at around that time? Was it Luke Fair? Whomever it was the mixing was terrible; it sounded like a locomotive when he mixed, beats were completely off.. If I had waited for Deep Dick or Sharam I'm sure I would have passed out cold in there; maybe they should sell Deep Dish mixes to people who have trouble sleeping!

As for the club Surface, to be critical, it reminds me of Systems except half the size. I counted a grand total of 4 lights in the place, however the sounds wasn't all that bad. As for the crowd, 90% males...

Sharam's is a bit bigger & shorter but they look very similar

Abbas: Were both guys spinning? I thought it was only Dubfire.

As for their sound, they're off an on but the same thing happened in Montreal where the sound was all messed up and because of the type of deep progressive house they play, it sounded a lot worse. When they played at system soundbar it sounded really good so I guess it depends on the sound system.

I got there around the same time you left. I stayed for like 1.5 or 2 hours, and it sucked. I thought Deep Dish were supposed to spin trance, that was the only reason I went. I don't like deep house music.

As for the bar itself, I've never seen it so full. That was my first time at the Surface, but I've been there when it was "The Show". Never seen so many people there (exept on Canada 2001). And yes, it was a sausage fest - looked like 75 to 80% guys. There was a hottie dancing in front of that large screen tho. :-)

All in all, it was a waste of money. I'm glad I was drinking, 'cuz I wouldn't have been able to stand that sober.

No, I only saw one of them spinning, I dont even know if the other did spin....as for whom it was.....I can't put a name to the face but I thought their names were Ali and Sharam (Persian)........they were walking around the club an hour before they started spinning

to answer, I know it was the shorter guy wearing the yoshitoshi.com t-shirt so I guess its Ali (Dubfire)
