Evirdy - Seven Days Till Tomorrow [old & newish warm melodic progressive trance]

The winter cold diminishes with each passing day, and now the sunlight hints at the subtle scent of springtime. I remember that afternoon from last year vividly. Lying alone under a tree in the park, seeing the rays of sunlight through the clouds and the leaves and just.. observing. Observing the people around me. A kid playing in the water, a happy young couple, a dog chasing a butterfly. I put my headphones on and press "play". I close my eyes and the image of the people around me start to fade away, into the background. Slowly the music draws me into another world.. a world where tomorrow is far, far away.

Like last time, mostly old tracks that I used and here and there newer ones (ranging from '95-'07!). Warm, melodic progressive trance (McProg free) and in the end a bit edgier tunes that haven't been played as much as they should be. Hope you'll enjoy it!

The megaupload version is okay Tony, I upped it at 256kbit because, well, it's megaupload and I thought it would take too long for ppl to download it. And since you had trouble last time with it, I tried it before I shared the link. Probably should've mentioned it somewhere, but thanks anyways

I loved your Walking On Shadows mix, so I'm getting this one too.

This one was nice. As your previous mix loaded with nice smooth tracks.
The mixing was sometimes good and sometimes a bit sloppy. The first transmission for instance could have been better since I feel that the first track is faded out way too quick.
Another weird transmission (if I have to be picky) is the transmission between Angelic and Guten Morgen. But I can understand that one since Angelic is a hard track to mix.

Overall a great job and definetly worth more listens!

I had some trouble with the first transition, because Navigator doesn't start with a plain beat, which I felt it made it hard to mix in smooth. Abandoned is faded out during the small break of the beginning of Navigator. Actually, I felt that it was the best place to fade it out, right before the break ended. It would feel like it's been dragging on for too long if I'd fade it out later, at least that's how I think. Anyways, maybe someone else can share his opinion on it?

You're totally right about the transition into Guten Morgen. It is what it is because the volume of Guten Morgen is too loud, totally dominating Angelic, which make it sound like I did the transition in a big hurry (which I didn't). I should've paid better attention there.

good stuff, good tunes, trackselection was good, mixing was good but i heard you struggling to get bigi mantra aligned when you mixed it in. but other than that, nice one.

This is very nice, and I think you nailed your concept in terms of the mood. It has quite a retro trance sound but doesn't use any obvious tracks, which was nice. I did notice a few mixing issues though - there was an EQing error around 19 minutes in particular.

This made my day, it's great to hear that. It was really what I tried to accomplish when I was selecting the tracks, both in terms of mood and to avoid the obvious tracks.

When you say progressive trance, I usually think of pumping peak hour prog trance (or McProg, depending on who's saying it), but I dig this kind of more laid back warm sounding prog trance too.

The EQ error you're talking about is the transition into Guten morgen, which Hamid mentioned too. Point taken

Already 3 tracks in and this is refreshing to say the least...Beautiful intro track.

Will give more feedback when finished listening.

the mix had me dancing and happy in my seat in a way that i haven't done in a long time.

Hmm it's surprises me that you didn't like Supertransonic, the one that comes in during the 45th minute. It's the best tune in the mix for me and from the first track on, it's kind of what I'm building towards to.

I did have some trouble finding a suitable track after Supertransonic, but I'm quite happy about the choices that I've made. Anyways, I'm gonna keep that in mind and let it sink in. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it

The upshot is that this was a very entertaining mix to listen to.
Starts of beautifully........then kinda chugs along......but redeems itself in full flow at the end.

Hmm.. what's there to argue when it comes down to taste at the end? Quite some people specifically said how much they liked some tracks from the mid section. To each their own, I guess. Cheers for being honest
