Monkey Dancer 2 Scott Hardkiss Remix Contest!

Hey !

I wanted to get in touch about a remix contest that our site is holding, for legendary house/trance/breakbeat DJ and Producer, Scott Hardkiss!

This is a chance for aspiring electronic producers and DJ’s to remix Scott's "Beat Freak" track off his latest album! The winning remix will be released on Scott Hardkiss' label God Within Records and the winning producer will receive full credits!

For more details, or to participate, go to:

http://talenthouse.me/31m

We also have two other opportunities for producers.

One is for the chance to work with Ryan Leslie in his studio on a major label release:

http://talenthouse.me/31n

The other is a remix contest for the band Dredg:

I'm still not remixing this POS. Not even if you post it twice.

really msz, didnt anyone ever teach you how to play nice? Why the hostility? Peace and blessings to you. No anger is necessary in life.

Because you posted it twice, joined just to post it, and the track sucks.

I agree alonzo, not the greatest track in my opinion either, but at least I think someone can make it sick, what do you got to lose? there is no cost to you.

If someone can "make it sick", they're probably better off making their own original than remixing something that isn't worth the effort.

Really, you think I joined just to post it. You are psychic right?
Maybe I joined cuz i have been a dj and producer for 14 years.

Global distribution is hard to come by, that is why you remix it! You got that global hook up let me know and let's connect. No more BS. Participate or dont. Quite wasting my time. or if you really want, download the samples and you and me will battle each other on who can remix it better. What do you think?

Posted by MSZ on Feb-26-2010 23:23:

winning producer will receive full credits! im sold

Posted by talenthouse on Feb-26-2010 23:24:

Sweet! now you are talking! You dont have to submit it to the contest if you dont want to. This will be something fun just for us!

Yes I do think that, but it doesn't really matter. People do it all the time.

I appreciate that you're attempting to further the EDM community with your music label and a remix contest, but you do more harm than good when you promote terrible music hidden by a sleek image.

How much total time has been put into that image and this remix contest? If it's more than 1/3 the time that was put into the music, something isn't right.

Sorry, but I can't turn shit into gold. I'm not a magician or your great savior.

I can already see the promo hyped in the Music Producer's Forum:

Behold!

The new single by legendary producer and recording artist, Scott Hardkiss:

Scott's sublime mixing and gifts for subtlety has let him lead the field in music production but now, he's got a little help, as if he needs it. Winner of the Scott Hardkiss Remix Contest, Your Name Here has managed to capture Scott's swept filter house wankery and consolodate it in a single note, and what's more, that vocoder thing was yanked out. The song was gay, before, but our winner completely yanked out the snare attack build and now it's even gayer. As in Festive, Haters!

More Gay - A Single Note - This song has it all without any of that PLUR, retarded unicorn bullshit!

Just take a look at some of the big name support this tune is getting:

mobye - This tune could totally rock if you took it back to 1995 and played it out at a leather bar.
ArminVB - This mix is massive. Will support!
DJNonStop - I can't stop laying this mix on the decks. It rocks the house, every time!
Sophie - This song makes me wet myself
Aurora - Thanks for the single but I'd rather have my tips in cash.
Mercedez - I went to the doctor, Scott. Aperrently the rash is contajous. Thanks for the single.
Portia - I have the DJ play this every time I'm on stage. Thanks for the single. Are you running low on cash?
PVDyke - Very subtle. I didn't think a single note could do all that and who in the hell are you and please stop spamming my fan email account.
Gordon_Ramsey - Stop leaving your single as gratuity in my restaurants! And stop grabbing the bus-boy's ass!
POakenfold - Would you please have your entourage of losers stop coming to the DJ Booth and requesting your hack-stain pap.

Eh, kind of blocked right now, anyhow - but I heard that tune...

I mean what the hell is going on behind closed doors?

Steve: Hey Scott. We got a promotion idea, a remix contest.
Scott: Sounds great. What do you have in mind?
Steve: I don't know. Don't you have some loop that never turned into a song we could do something with?
Scott: Well, sort of.
Steve: Come on, Scott, quit holding out on me.
Scott: Look, I just don't think they're very good. I mean some of it's just some cheesy vocod...
Steve: I'll take it!
Scott: Are you sure this is a good idea, Steve. I'm a little concerned that my image isn't...
Steve: Look Scott, you passive-aggressive little fuck! Don't you fucking know that hostility is a negative emotion.
Scott: I wasn't... er, sorry... I wasn't... (*sobs quietly*)
Steve: You fucking little, shit-dicked moron. We have your image under control. We hired a hot-ass model for your photo-shoot, tomorrow. Antique furniture, an ill-fitting suit! You ought to be able to crap out a tune in five-fucking-minutes, capice.
Scott: Five-minutes? (*sniffles*)
Steve: Yeah. Put it on my desk in five minutes!
Scott: I'll try. (*Leaves room*)
Steve: FIVE FUCKING MINUTES SCOTT! PEACE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU!... Asshole.

I'm pretty sure nobody wanted any links to your music.

Have you ever heard of a "key"? It's what some people sing in.

Posted by echosystm on Feb-27-2010 02:04:

Out of curiousity, does Scott Hardkiss spinz big clob?

Posted by EddieZilker on Feb-27-2010 02:10:
