Electric vs Razor Shaver

What's your preference?

I prefer electric, its easier when you're in a rush to get out of the house in the morning, but I do enjoy razor shave on occasion.

Iv been using Razor thus far. I might give Electric a try

Waterproof Shavers should be great in the shower.

I'm so manly I use both. In the same shave. To hunt bears.

Electric because I don't like the smooth shave feel.

Waterproof Shavers should be great in the shower.

I use corded, lower end Remington 3 rotating heads. Its lasted me 6+ years I credit it being corded, while less convenient keep the blades spinning faster and thus keeps them from wearing out.

Other factors that effect longevity and quality of shave is the thickness of your facial hair and how quick it grows. I can go for a couple of days without shaving and while my hair is full I've seen ppl with a lot thicker.

As far as the shower shavers I've never used one but I'd assume they cut closer and cleaner because your hair is wet. Either way I still believe a razor gives a closer/smoother shave that lasts longer. But this comes at a price of taking longer and gives you more skin irritation.

I've used a razor for eight years (straight razor for a few months) and recently got an electric razor.

Although the electric doesn't leave the face as smooth as the razor, shaving is no longer painful. Give me an electric any day.

I dont shave...

Currently electric. I had to shave with a blade every other day because it didn't grow enough, with an electric razor it didn't have that problem.

I can't shave with electric. My shits so thick it doesnt even look like a shaved at all. Gotta go against the grain with razor.

Posted by tubularbills on Mar-01-2010 02:58:

i have this one patch of stubble on the underside of my chin; on the neck that is nearly impossible to get even with a razor. no matter which direction i shave, i can't get it all the way down. it's annoying as hell. and really, the more i try to get it; the more irritated the skin around it gets.
