I'm coming to LA this weekend - Who wants to have a TA meet before Gareth Emery?
as the thread says, i'm coming to LA this weekend (friday-sunday). anyone interested in having a meetup for GE? probably at the same place I normally schedule these places (Zen Ku sushi in little tokyo)
Sounds like fun! There's also an awesome Indian restaurant 2 blocks away from Circus. I know the managers and they told me once that they would be open to serving the TA crew (meaning that not everyone shows up at the same time, people come n go, etc.). They don't have a liquor license, but customers bring in beer, etc. all the time from the 7-11 next door or just pick up a case of Newcastle from Costco (which makes it quite cheap).
I know that some people don't like spicy food though (they can make it mild, medium, or hole-in-the roof spicy!). Just an idea, I'm open to other suggestions too...whatever we do, early arrival at Circus is a must! (wonder how early the parking opens at Circus...if the Indian place works out, we could park there and walk to the restaurant).
Who's excited for Gareth effen Emery!!!!?

Indian food usually doesnt agree with me (although it is delicious), so I think I'll be at zenku (although the service can suck sometimes)
Also, I do plan on being at circus as soon as it opens.
No problem. I eat Indian food like 3x/week, it makes my stomach feel better...but I know we're all different. After my horrible downtown experience last weekend (see Infocus review for more on that), I'm going to stay in Hollywood this weekend.
I am down for a TA meetup before...but some place a little different then the sushi place in downtown.
I don't want to be smelling people sweat out indian food in a club. Indian food is awesome, but it (especially curry) can make you wreak when you start sweating a lot.
I want some curry now. Sounds good. yum. Delicous stuff! Any good indian/curry places around Culver City or on Venice Blvd between I405 and I10?

While indian food is awesome, sweating it out stinks. And if you eat indian food (ESPECIALLY CURRY) and sweat, the odor def comes out. Ain't no hidin' it! |
We have tentative plans to be in San Diego this weekend, so prob not. I know, sounding like a broken record. Family activity is more important than me going out though. Especially after being away from my boy this past weekend while Michelle and I travelled to SF. Gotta make it up to him! Priorities.
My time will come. Just things are tight and have to be super picky. Don't feel left out, this past weekend was the first time we were able to go anywhere since...Halloween?
Getting old.

I've got a set as well boy/girl. Me and the wife take them out whenever we can..snow, chucky cheeses, miniature golf, park etc. We make a priority to get alone time atleast one weekend a month. understood bro.

You know, Hondaya is pretty nice. Tapas style, small dishes, has sushi, tempura etc. Its a Japanese Izakaya or beer house. In Little Tokyo open till 1 i think.
