Sound Proofing
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Bass Traps?
I'm due to move house soon and I will have people living under me. I really don't want to have to turn the bass down any more than I already do so I am looking for ways to insulate the sound travelling through the floor boards without modifying the structure as it is rented.
I've seen these bass traps but I don't know if that will only buffer the sound that is travelling horizontal which isn't so much a problem.
Anyone know or have any ideas or have done it themself?
Most of my searches online are resulting with suggestions of laying carpets (which the room will already have) and having a second floor put in which I can't do :-(
Check out Gear Sluts forum, this topic to be more specific
I think somewhere in the thread there is a link to a website where you can buy bass traps and acoustic foam for any kind of room. I'm giving you 2 options, build your own (cheaper) or buy from a company.
Bass traps are meant for acoustic treatment, not sound-proofing.
