NYTA coming by need some advice

Hi everyone me and some friends are going a on little 3 day vacation and were looking at places/things to do in Montreal. We'll arrive on Thursday the 18th and leave on Sunday. This will be my first time there and in the NYTA forums we have a party planner with dates of all the parties and dont see one here?! So where would you recommend to go that has good trance and house music?

Besides partying what is there? Like sights or attractions?

Well im covered for friday looks like im in luck and cosmic gate will be at Redlight on friday night.

It doesnt have to be an international dj, A solid local dj in a good club is good too..

Loco dice is playing on the 19th at stereo along with Martin Buttrich and Livo & Roby...

Probably the best party in a long time...

What's trance?

here are all the dates posted for events in MLTA:

cosmic gate is at red lite afterhours if you're looking for trance. check out stereo or circus afterhours for other options on friday or saturday if you're looking for late night partying. loco dice at stereo that weekend, along with a couple great local djs spinning techno at circus as well.

if you want house music during normal hours, bassment has chicago house legend roy davis jr. coming saturday night. gonna be a killer party for sure. i can get guestlist for this one as i'm one of the hosts/djs that night.

you can also check out karma for house music during normal hours.

although i do need to try ginger because erika says great things about it.

as for greek...no good greek restos downtown...as a tourist you don't want to go to park ave so fuck it.

Posted by 09vdubgti on Mar-10-2010 23:23:

Hmm you got me interested about Park ave......

i might get flamed, but as an accomplished "foodie"...this:

http://www.milos.ca/fr/montreal/index.html

the restaurant in athens is amazing too, so that will tell you about authenticity.

they also have a location in nyc under the name Estiatorio Milos.

Posted by 09vdubgti on Mar-11-2010 00:04:

lol man that already looks expensive haha

Posted by epicaricacy on Mar-11-2010 00:06:

tell me your budget and what you want to eat and i will hook you up.

there is cheap and good and there is just good...not everyone is a foodie.

budget = meal + wine not including tip.

the expensive joints here are still not even in new york expensive territory... but just as good if not better.

Posted by malek on Mar-11-2010 00:06:

Karma on Saturday for normal hours, might end up there.

Good house, good crowd.

Posted by malek on Mar-11-2010 00:08:

Tripoli on St-Roch, cheap and very tasty... I think I'll go now with the other Malek.

Shish-Kebab for excellent lebanese food and cheap too.

ahhhhh

listen to malek.

macdonalds costs almost 10 bucks for the trio

if you have a few bucks extra i would encourage you to reconsider, as the fine dining is way better than in new york here, because we know better
