Free IPhone app released for Event scheduling and coordinating

Some of the features include search by party, venue, dj. You can create schedules and share theme and see where your friends are on a map.

My phone bill is going to be seriously expensive next month. It costs �6 per MB of data transferred on my iPhone, when I'm abroad. I was in Belgium last week for a couple of days and spent �12 just using Facebook and Twitter. Oh dear.

Hahaha! Man, I'm so glad I don't use Twitter. By the way, not going to the DJ Mag party anymore, cos it's no longer free on the badge. Robbing bastards! Going to Nikki Beach instead, but should still be going to Mojitos for some pre-Ovum drinks, so i'll see you there.

You will be able to share the information. I assume through sms, or the iphone application. It appears the developer has just started importing all of the parties because only tuesday seems filled up, a lot of the other days only have a couple parties listed. I sent him a message on twitter @wmcstar and asked him how I could help get all the events listed. You should do the same.

Yeah I spoke with the developer on Twitter and he says that will be fixed by the weekend. As long as it is operational by the time conference rolls around I will be stoked.

did you pick this up off the Itunes store? my iphone is unlocked so I use installus for app downloads usually...
whats the exact name of this app so i can search for it?

this is a really cool idea as long as it works...since i'm running around miami by myself for the most part, this will be cool to hook up with new faces/friends as we go or even just to meet up to split a cab! i'm thinking this has good possibilities

The name is WMCstar. This app kicks ass! It tells me how many other users are going to the events I put on my schedule. It seems that he has updated the list a lot more, and everything should be finished this weekend for the events.

I'm wayne - the developer of WMCstar - glad you all like the idea

I'm adding events to the app as and when I can but I promise to have them all added by the weekend (there's a fekin lot!). I'm getting some bits re-designed (main event detail page) and have added Twitter integration - so you can now add friends from either Twitter or other WMCstar users. There's some screenshots of the (partially) redesigned UI on the wmcstar.com site.

At the moment all that does is let you see their where abouts (if they've allowed this) but I'm working on sending invites to contacts, seeing how many of your contacts are going to each party (not just how many WMCstar users are going), veiw friends schedule etc etc. I'm also trying to add realtime party rating! So you can see which parties are the highest rated as and when they're going off!

Not sure how much of all this new stuff will get into the AppStore in time (I'm workign crazy hours to get as much as I can in) but I'm trying to update the binaries as often as I can.

I'm updating the site http://wmcstar.com and twittering http://twitter.com/wmcstar when I can.

If you guys have any feature requests drop me an email or twitter and I'll see what I can do

Just a quick one to let you guys know that I've updated the WMCstar app and it's database now includes tons more parties with more being added every day. It now has Twitter integration so you can connect with Twitter friends or you can search for other WMCstar users. You can also preview flyers now too.

I'm working on shared schedules and live event rating now!

Havent downloaded it yet but cool concept of real time event rating to let others know. Perhaps a general WMC tweet page for this application as well that is viewable. So people can write comments on the event they are at and forward the tweet to your tweet name so you can view them through the app. So just a mass WMC event tweet page for those using this app and sending tweets as a CC to you guys. That way people can get real time timeslot updates

I've just submitted another (!) version of the app to the appstore.

I took onboard the suggestion for a shout screen - now any mention of wmc or wmcstar (hashtag or no) on twitter will show in the new twitter tab.

add friends - they get an email with a link to reciprocate the friendship - you can then see each others location on the map.

add an event you get an iCal file emailed to you.

new cleaner UI and faster, more stable overall app.

I'm haggling my mates to help me add the events and one of the guys from this board has offered to help out. sweet.

still free, still for the love of the scene - it's time i gave something back
