I'm not fond of the EFX and the behringer doesn't sound great.

looked at prices and seems like a pretty reasonable thing to do, but maybe I should play with the EFX more...

I think as long as you use fx correctly it could benefit.

strongly agreed. Last thing ppl want to see is a dj beatmatch then transition the next song without anything in the middle to blow the roof off
