Total BS!, Deleting my thread! I have been on this board for ten years

I don't know what happened to my post..... I made a valid point about label parties...... If it was deleted then i hope all you kiddies enjoy giving the likes of Tiesto $150,000 for an hour while he plays other peoples records.....

Come on......

Dude, chill. Your thread was merged with this one. It is at the bottom of the thread.

Supermod Manny is attempting to keep this sub-forum free of pointless threads that can't go in the general discussion thread.

I am just busting manny's chops...... lol

it becomes a problem when established members are having their posts removed/deleted

i know i've been here a long time and it just plain pissed me off to see this "open" forum so heavily moderated

part of the beauty of these forums is the option to say anything about anything

when you have a mod that merges/deletes everything, it gives it a "big brother" feel

sooner or later the people are going to get pissed off and move onto a different forum

everytime i come back to review a thread the fvcking thing has been merged or deleted already

what's the point?????????????

I'm with epdarks. The WMC forum is way over-moderated.

IM a newbie myself but I agree as well- especially if a thread has multiple responses which obviously means people are interested in the topic, and in the end may help similar posts being put up regarding the same topic.

Ive been here 2 weeks and had about 3 threads with multiple feedback being deleted (moved over is pretty much the same thing since no one will go there to answer questions for ppl)

i think the problem is you're posting threads about PERSONAL questions that you could easily just ask within other threads talking about the same party or subject.
No offense, but I'm not interested in such specific posts about what time you're coming, where you're going, what you expect, etc. Keep that in the hype or roll call forum where it belongs with everyone else...
If you have a peice of information that is actually relevant to a MASS number of people who could potentially keep the conversation going and let it progress into something worthwhile and useful, cool...but so far the threads i see being deleted or merged were just self-absorbed babble.
I'm happy there is a moderator that keeps it cleaned up otherwise I think we'd all get super annoyed with the idiots who post threads about the bacon they ate for breakfast and what sneakers they're wearing to Boris...excessive pointless threads pop up too often and the useful stuff gets lost in the mix.

K good point Ammora _ regardless this site has helped me so much with WMC so Im grateful for finding it. So what sneakers should I wear to Ultra? lol Im kidding sorta lol.

I apprectiate Manny's work as well. Coming from the West Coast forum that had no mod until recently. Most threads would turn into a bashing contest. Everyone bagging and cussing out each other. You are F'ed if you say the "T" word (Tiesto) in a positive light. lol

Posted by PatMcGroin on Mar-15-2010 21:00:

i think maybe a few threads coulda been kept open but i cant imagine that its easy moderating this crap. with how much crap needs to get moved or deleted or merged mistakes are bound to happen. lets not take it too seriously or even personally. we're all just trying to have the best forum possible. and even though things could always run a little smoother, we still are the best source on the internet for wmc.

Hey guys, I was just ranting.... This forum has been the best site ever..... Great people, great information, no one is a real music snob ass and we all actually have important useful posts 90% of the time......

But for all you hardcore dance heads, a label party should be about the label......?

Right?

and go ahead and delete this ill post some useful stuff....lol

LMAO!!! I'm gonna post that with the forum rules. That's Great Mel!

As far as some of the other threads... For the most part some stay open for a few days & then I either merge them into the General Discussion thread, move them to the already existing topic at hand or I deleted them because it doesn't need to clutter the board.

Maybe some do or have slipped thru the cracks & if so I apologize. You see only individual threads I have the whole forum to look out for & to keep the best interest of everyone happy & having fun planning their trips w/o any issues evolving.

If I let things slide this forum would be a mess & then the roles would be reversed. Meaning you would be telling me to delete those threads or ban the OP if not then the arguements in those threads would be endless. We don't need any issues or situations. We are grown adults that can read & follow simple rules. Its not my fault if some people don't read the forum rules & pay attention to what they are doing or where they are posting.

I try to be as fair as possible regulary in the Main Florida section but when it comes down to the WMC forum I may give it a bit more of a "Big Brother" feeling just to keep things in order. Besides thats why I have the General Discussion thread there for in the 1st place.
So you could be able to post whatever is on your mind that doesn't need its own thread & i can care less about as long as it doesn't become an arguement or bashing or disrespecting others

LOL @ Pete for stirring up the pot!
