Ziptnf - Broken Signal [psystep/dubby psybreaks/brontosaurus droppings]
This is a set packed with some of the dirtiest, filthiest, most disgusting beats around. Some of the transitions may seem a bit weird, as these tracks were particularly hard to mix. Hope you enjoy!
Heyoka - Kombulade
Nagual Sound Experiment - Zorastafari
Audiovoid - Twitch Throb
sLime - Dubchugg
RAW - Dirty Dub
Fat Pat - Rad Sauce
Morphatrix - Off the Grid
Metcalfe - Chameleon
Meat Axe - Two Whiffs and Your Greedy
Sensient - Multiplier
Artifakt - Broken
Beatkrush - Smoker's Delight

This looks similar to your previous mix. Again darker prog/techno influenced tracks. Sounds interesting and I will listen to this when I am in the right mood for that (some night for sure)!

Originally posted by ziptnf No! Not similar at all, there is no 4x4 in this mix anywhere. But it does have some relatively dark moments. It's pretty wild. |
grabbin this right away!
curious to hear what psystep sounds like
Thanks guys. Don't play this set quietly.
The flow might be a bit all over the place. None of these tracks are very similar, they are all pretty unique in their own ways. I must have rearranged these tracks 500 times. It was hard to find a direction and stick with it.
Edit: I must mention that the mixing could have used a lot more risks. The tracks hardly ever synced up properly, but I should have tried to keep the energy high between tracks. If I were to spin this set again it would be a lot different.
Just had a listen and I can say it was a pleasurable experience. Yeah, like you said, you could take more risks and make a more energetic set with those but, in my opinion, the way it is is good enough. The set isn't for energy, its for something out of the ordinary and it gets the job done. Enjoyed it quite much, thanks for it!
Hey man, thanks. Yeah this is definitely something different than I normally do. I am relatively pleased with it. I think the tracks are great, my favorite being Twitch Throb.
aw fuck, you used brontosaurus droppings in your description too? copycat.

Fix your damn sig! (again!)
Dude, Stu, I got your PM the first time. You said 500x150 max. Isn't this within limits??

Gay, dude. Sig guidelines are such a pain in the ass. I can never fucking get them right. Might as well just not have a picture there, fuck it.

Not a bad idea. I guess I never really think about the rules too much, I just grab a little portion of the main picture and make it my sig. Oh well, I'd just as soon not have a picture down there anyways, the whole "broken" thing might just be a bit too silly.
Might download this one, haven't really heard any breakbeat psy stuff that isn't ultra-chilled.
Thanks, Jack. Hope you like it!
Domesticated, I must also mention that Meat Axe is the breaks project of the psy group Hefty Output from Zenon Records.
This mix was good! I like psy-step!
this is some top-notch experimental stuff here
and is quite a unique and fresh sound to my ears; would love to hear somethin like this in a club in the future
good job once again zippy!
Thanks fellas! Glad you guys liked it.
Bump! Waiting on Ted Homo and SYSTEM-GAY to comment
Edit: And DomestiGAYted as well... okay, maybe that was a stretch.
This is my reminder to listen to this
This set is what wobblestep should be.
