[Progressive] Sebri - Progish(320k) My first upload, feedback appreciated!

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum, so a quick introduction might be in order

I've been producing for a little over a year now and before that I studied music in high school. I've also been playing guitar for 6 years, everything from metal to jazz. Recently though, trance production is my main thing.

I'm inspired by Gareth Emery and Armin among others, and I think this track has a little bit of both. Not to say that I'm that good

Anyway, check it out, please leave a comment if you like it - or if you don't

Nice!

It's basic, but pretty and quite listenable. Like the very subtle progression and the overall musicality of this tune. Really good job.

Thanks for the comment man, always a pleasure when someone likes my work
Also for everyone, don't hesitate to critize my mixing/mastering cause I'm pretty new to this and I need to learn!

I'm a sucker for a good bass. I've also been listening to alot of progressive recently, and this is the exact type of sound I wish I could throw down myself.

A little too much high end at 50% volume on my system, but I have this handy thing called a volume knob that I can turn to the left.

I like the chillout bit in and around 2:10-2:40. I also like the light airy feeling that you've captured with the synths.

Pulled me in and left me going "Aw it's done" when it finished. Nice job man.

(I too am a newcomer to these boards, so it's fun to hear this kinda track from someone else "starting out," great inspiration for me)

Thanks! I agree that the high end might be a bit much, think I overdid the exciter a little when mastering

It's really great actually to hear fellow producers comment on my mixes, seeing as most my friends aren't that into trance. And if I can inspire people along the way, there's nothing better!

hey man, good show for a first upload.

i liek a lot of things about this mix, the bass is consistent, your lead with the tap delay im really digging, however i do not like your open filter saw lead. you'll get better mixes over time im sure, but congrats on the piece. cheers.
