Added some comment on SoundCloud already. Will add more after few runs of your track to get batter idea where you going with this idea.
Good start man.
Cheers
The tune itself is good.Very good, i like it.
As for the mixing and what not, it needs more FX.
More swooshes and sweeps to keep the track moving.
and with the FX and automation you could also really bring out that breakdown.
Sounds like some EQ wont go a miss either.
Darius m8, your comments bring things down to earth for me in the light that, its not about making a fat tune and pvd and armin playing it everywhere around the world. Its about appreciating trance for what it really is and loving the music! which i can tell you do as much as anyone else who listens to it ! Thank you.
and
thanks for your help guys, ive just had a go at mixing down the sounds a bit as everything else was getting loud and the kick was disappearing hopefully its made a positive difference, i chopped the filtered synth in the break, im gonna upload this in a bit. then im gonna work on the fx and swooshes etc. hopefully find something to make the guitar pluck a bit more interesting too.
Cheers
Added more comment on SoundCloud - well done my friend.
Cheers.
Thanks for listening again Darius,
Vocals then.... mmm dont have a bloody clue where to start there. I take it you would mean a female vocal?. i can tell it would sound cool. need to do a bit of research and see what i can come up with. .
Whats the low end sound like to u im making this on headphones straight out the laptop so dont know how bassy it sounds really.
Thanks again mate.
The tune as it stands is a bit too basic for my liking. But there's a lot of potential here, especially with the lead melody. Here are things you would maybe consider:
- More drums to drive the track along.
- Some big pads sweeping in and out of the lead when it plays solo.
- Maybe increase the BPM to give it more of an edge.
- The other lead after the breakdown is pretty aggressive in comparison to the rest of the track and I really think a softer lead would work much better!
- Some more FX seriously wouldn't hurt. You've got tonnes of room left to explore.
But really cool ideas. It made me a bit nostalgic.
Bigger kick
change pad
change clap
musically its nice
thanks again on the feedback guys cant thank you enuff.
@sako, when u say change the pads.. what kind of pad should i change it too? i got nexus and sylenth if you could suggest anything off of any of them or similar.
Im not sure on what fx to drop into the build up, i dont want to lose the euphoric feeling of the guitar plucks , plus i dont want to drown out the filtered synth so im pretty stuck with this one. ive hardened up the kick and changed the lap , ill try an dget some more done before i up loadan update.
thanks guys
you have some nice stuff going on here, i think you need to work on transitions as well as atmosphere. try adding some delayed effects, and filter some white noise out/in at drops / builds, respectively.
So my friend, looks like you have a lot of different option for this particular track. Low end (and you are right about it) would definitely benefit of some more/extra juice from your kick and bass, but not to much if you would like to add some nice female vocal. If this is instrumental version than you definitely need to add more to low freq and yes I would agree with Owen and Sako that nice FX with some beautiful pads/arps could add some needed spice/color/atmosphere to your track. Never the less, this is good looking/sounding track, so keep working on it and let us listen the final version in the future.
Cheers
