Some of the bigger EDM producers have been slowly making their way onto summer festival schedules the past few years. Deadmau5 has already done Coachella, and Lollapalooza. Paul Oakenfold and Infected Mushroom were at Bonaroo.

I can understand the big festival who usually have an "electronic" tent or room or whatever, I don't understand Deadhou5 on the main stage at Osheaga ... it makes no sense whatsoever (unless Osheaga decides to give us an Electronic stage)

There's always been an electronic stage at Osheaga, since they merged with MEG. It's far off, so we won't hear the squeaks from the main stages

maybe hes billed as some sort of 'entertainer' rather than a dj

maybe he's the new festival mascott lol

robyn is also singing the same day... so he's not the only edm/pop act... or maybe she'll sing with him.

Coachella has always had a big EDM presence. Or at least in all the years I've ever known it it has.

Well, always.. Coachella's been around for 4-5 years now. It's relatively new.

Lollapalooza has an EDM stage too now. I went to Lollapalooza last year, all the big hipster electro house DJs were there, along with deadmau5 and Bassnectar. Deadmau5 isn't really a DJ anyways.. Daft Punk was a headliner at Lollapalooza 3 years ago, and like it or not, Deadmau5 is almost as big as DP is.
