I wasn't expecting them to be poaching for the dj-in-a-box market

I can see the point of the CDJ-350 as a 200 update, but I don't get the mixer's purpose in the lineup at all when the 400 is still around and can be had for not that much these days. Weird.

oh god

im still waiting for a dual midi platter thingy with harddisc and double audio outs for playing mp3 and wav into any kind of mixer without the use of a laptop. its not much creativity going on at pioneers, its just the same as it was 15 years ago.

+1 Not really sure why they'd come out with the mixer...I guess they figure that there is a market for it.

not liking the spaceship decks at all

One thing I'm not getting with a lot of CDJs is the non-waveform display - pretty much means you have to have the nuances of every track you play memorised inside and out. Guess if you're really serious about your timing you'll shell out for ones with visible waveforms, but either way, +1 for good old-fashioned vinyl.

So MSRP is 750 and 850 for the DJM, CDJ respectively. Anyone care to guess what the actual list price will be?

"comfortably" between the cdj400 and 800 for the cd...and between the djm 400 and 6/700 for the mixer.

i'm sure they'll go on about how its the "little brother" so they can justify the price.

Does it never end?

BTW, woody could you post a larger picture please?

They look like they could be a good choice for beginners if the price is reasonable. I Like them.

More like aisle 7 in the local Toys R'Us.

Nah, it's worse than that - I'd actually prefer the Toys R Us version:

That's crazy. I feel like the DJM-400 is still better than this thing overall, yet this is slotted higher, price wise it seems.

What's the pitch resolution on the cdj's like. Couldn't find anything on their site.

To be honest. I can see these doing quite well.

Personally i love the styling. I think they look a lot better than the 200's and 400's. They're clean, simple no frills. No flashy colour (400's) or silly jog wheel (200's)..

I know you all like your high end equipment etc but these could be a really nice cheaper option. Plus the fact that rekordbox could be used might allow you to program your tunes./set a little and then move on to a clubs 2000's when you're playing out.

I dunno i think you're all being a little harsh.

Just my 2c.

Looks like they hired someone from Gemini to design these.

What's next? CDJ 425? CDJ 375? CDJ 250? CDJ 950?

If you look closely on the displays, the left one shows 0.15% and the right one 0.02%.
So likely to be 0.02 on 6% range and 0.05 on 10?

EDIT: This pic shows a better display. So, 0.02% on 6:
CDJ-350

Nice one.. That's pretty decent

Hmmm I'm wondering if these would be a good match up for controlling Traktor/Serato control discs. Could be a cheaper way of getting a deck with .02 resolution for controlling TSP.

hmmmmm.

Some of you are delusional. How can anyone not understand/be upset at them expanding their dj line to different price brackets?
