What dog would you get?

I'm picking up my puppy on April 24, he a German Shepherd, I'm buying from a breeder, not a pet store. The father is a cop K-9 unit, and they were raise with human contact daily. What dog would you choice to get if you were going to get one?

first person to post Jack Russell I will piss on

more of a cat person, not big fan of 24/7 in my face but German Shepherd would be my choice too.

Bull something like a Mastiff or terrier. My gf's got a Mastiff amazing dog wouldn't hurt a fly... unless the fly attacked her then it would be toast.

I've wanted a puppy for as long as I can remember. The first dog will be a Yorkshire Terrier. Second will be either a Shitzu, Shitzu mix or Pug.

I know they're a lot of responsibility and basically like having a child, so it won't be for awhile b/c I can't make the commitment right now. But I CANNOT WAIT until I finally get my Yorkie.

very wise. This is something a lot of idiots do not take into account when thinking about dogs (or kids )

It's not like cat where you can leave it for a day or two, you have to walk the dog at least twice daily. They also need to be bathed too periodically. Dog owners sometiemes don't know when their dogs stink

Ahhh I would totally get an English Mastiff. My sister had a Mastiff. Apollo was the same way. Such a gentle giant.

My dog is the best dog.

Foster, my miniature Australian shepherd. He has the best ears ever.

And here he is at 9 weeks, back in 2005.

Definitely. I know I have to make the commitment. That's why I think I may start with a cat. But Ian wants to get the cat and dog at the same time so they can grow up together. So looks like no animals for us for awhile.

I'll buy you one each for your next Birthday?

How'bout my cat? would that be ok too?

Posted by *~LiSa-LoO~* on Mar-29-2010 20:22:

P.S. I prefer small dogs to big dogs, but if I were to ever get a big dog I'd get a german sheppard (they're SO cute as puppies) or a husky. THey're gorgeous.

German Shepherds are smart and good natured if trained well.
