Is Steve already somewhere in the US? I was watching CNN at the gym and the Iceland Volcano is firing up again, more ash and unfriendly skies in Europe! 
Edit: He's spinning at Ministry of Sound in London Fri 4/23, then scheduled to be in LA Sat 4/24.
I would be very worried about Steve getting here this weekend. Basically, if his flight is cancelled he's not gonna be here.
I've read about a few DJs who have gigs over in the US or south america this weekend traveing the long way around the world from europe (going east across asia + the pacific, instead of west across the atlantic), but steve himself has "The Thrillseekers Live Xtreme" gig in his homeland on Friday night. So if his flight from there is affected, he's prob not coming to LA.
On the other hand, if the skies are clear, then passengers with tickets get priority over any of the stranded passengers. Seems odd since the people stranded in airports have been sleeping there for days, but if an airline sells someone's ticket who could have gotten on the plane, then they must provide accommodation and compensation to that passenger. If they can't allow travel due to weather, natural disaster, etc. then those passengers are SOL.
So if Steve can get on the plane (and has the stamina) then he's good to go, good question would be whether he could get back. I'm wondering if Sander van Doorn will be doing an extended US tour since he got here before the volcanic eruption? I'd be up for a month-long Sander van Doorn USA tour! 
Yeah, if you have a ticket already you obviously get priority. Everyone who has been cancelled jsut gets standby. Standard procedure. That saiid, if Steve's flight gets greatyl affected (ala cancelled), there's a slim chance he'd be able to make it then because all those peope who were already cancelled and still on standby will already be in line to get on empty seats ahead of him. So if his flight is greatly affected, considering he plays Friday night in England, chances are he'll never make it in time to LA even if he tried.
oh man!!! I am crossing my fingers that he can make it!
Maybe if they piped some of Steve's music into a boombox over Eyjafjallaj�kull, then it wouldn't be so upset anymore?
Thank whatever god you may or may not believe in that flights have started resuming today on a limited basis. I'm not sure if they've resumed out of the UK, but I really really hope he makes it.

I'm sure Steve will be even more enthusiastic to play Saturday, even more than he already is. This is a great DJ, solid solid sets the last two times I've seen him.
