....will be adding to this first post as the week goes on (videos, etc)
Here's one of Armin that gives a 'glimpse' of ultra...it doesn't even show the whole crowd for the main stage alone never mind the others

I heard that
Mathias Kaden
Paco Osuna
DJ T.
were some huge 'breakout sets' of the conference...

The Balance party on the Victor Hotel Rooftop was incredible...
Will Saul
DJ Three
Joris Voorn
Desyn Masiello
Agoria
...Were all amazing. Someone please book Will Saul here soon... in Toika, on a Boatcruise... please please please. This guy plays the most upbeat, happy, melodic, summery house I've ever heard.
Shine on Wednesday was MESSY.
Mojitos are delicious.
Blowjobs on police vehicles.
Karu and Y is amazing.
It's not everyday you get to bring Joris to the front door of the Victor.
The Buddha Gardens are beautiful... and it makes you do bad things. Like honestly, since when do I smoke? WTF? Where was I?
Hernan Cattaneo plays music that rips your fucking heart out.
Steve LOLer is actually cool and will be releasing a 'skybar' cd for free on Canada day.
"Whoa! Timo Maas!"
to which he responded "Whoa in a Walgreen's!?"
Chris Lawrence and his wife are really cool.
I can spot Knox from a bus.
Beaches rule.
Leave nothing unsaid to the people who matter most.
Ammora is the coolest girl I've ever met, please visit TO soon. Boatcruises, DEMF buddies, and WMC 2011 planning committee ftw.
Wish I went to Sunday School.
Booking our hotel for next year very soon.
wow.
I read that Howells at B.E.D was un real 7 hour set for a crowd of roughly 300 or so...lucky!!!
Oh and that Burrdige + Howells B2B closing at Sunday School was 5 hours of pure mindfucking instanity
OHhhhhhhhHHHH what I'd do to get my hands on those sets!!
I swear that next year, I will not miss either Howells, or Lee Burridge, and that I will catch Lawler's first set of the conference.
I will not miss Radioslave, Tiefschwarz, or Afrojack either.

Did anyone see Agoria at Sunda School? He brought destruction right after Joris at the Balance party.
I'm sure it's fun but honestly how much $ do you end up spending in comparison to say Demf or Europe even?
I've traded Wmc for Europe and Nyc for the past 5 years and unless I can make it relatively cheap and not kill my wallet I don't see it happening.

-Paco Osuna is a god. His sets blew my mind.
-Reboot owned the Loco Dice/Luciano pool party. insanity.
-Soul Clap @ Electric Pickle was the 'new guy' for me. Loveed.
-Electric Pickle is the CZ of Miami. Puuure antics and mayhem. amazing
-The Nocturnal staff is absolute shit. Hated the venue - dirty washrooms, skeetchhhy scary crowd, meh sound system and over priced everything. Will never go back.
-Karu&Y is still my favorite venue and the AM Party was my favorite of the week. So sad I got there so late.
-SSFD SUCKED. Paco saved the day. Seth Troxler was great as well but it wasn't anything like I expected.
-Toronto owned Miami. Couldn't go anywhere without seeing familiar faces. Had a ton of hilarious 'omg do you go to CZ!?' moments.
-So many awesome random chill moments. Hammocks @ Roots&Wings private party, adventures around South Beach, beach times with Knox .. sooo many fun things!!!
Americans have bad teeth. (most of them).
The crowd got progressively uglier as each day went on.

On the whole, I say it wasn't quite as good as last year. There was nothing overly spectacular about a lot of the music I heard all week. We're still along the same sound/trend as we were last year.
Lee and Danny were great as SSFD....playing exactly the type of stuff you'd expect them to play for the closing slot.
Squillace vs. D'Julz @ Ovum and Squillace vs. Matthias Tanzmann @ Circo Loco were great as well, but again....nothing you haven't heard before.
Seth Troxler definitely played stuff that you'd never hear anyone else play, which was awesome, but in general I find his programming to be very up and down at times.
Digweed @ the Vagabond on Saturday was hands down the best time I've ever seen him and is in the discussion for best set I've ever heard from him in general. I wouldn't even be able to describe the kind of stuff he was playing. His set was flawless from start to finish. One of the most technically amazing sets that I've ever witnessed.
Weather wasn't as great as last year either. There were a couple of crummy and chilly days along with a decent amount of rain.
The parties I ended up going to:
Wednesday Night - Ovum @ Shine (men, kinda disappointing)
Thursday Night - Hernan Cattaneo @ Shine (meh, kinda disappointing)
Friday Day - Circo Loco @ the Eden Roc (pretty fun, nothing overly spectacular about the music)
Friday Night - Danny Howells & Lee Burridge @ Aero Bar (horrible crowd, horrible venue)
Saturday Night - Digweed @ The Vagabond (amazing music, great venue, great crowd)
Sunday Day - SSSF (missed the 3 DJ's I wanted to see the most, the day had just as much bad music as good music for the 10 hours I was there. Paco, Lee & Danny, Seth Troxler = good, Everyone else = mediocre).
