The Island of Guam might sink or capsize

Posted by The17sss on Apr-02-2010 14:33:

This is Democrat leadership at it's finest. Haha... just imagine if Palin or any Republican said this. It would be late night tv joke fodder for years.

Posted by The17sss on Apr-02-2010 14:44:

lol... this is from yesterday too. Democrat Congressman Phil Hare of Illinois. Amazing how much stupid can be packed in to 3 minutes.

As long as the population isn't situated on only one side, the island shouldn't tip over or capsize. I wonder if it would be feasible to issue everyone on the island with a life preserver.

I don't see anything wrong with that video.

The Congressman states he cares more about human lives than the constitution and the two guys get their panties in a bunch.

Also, who cares how long it took to read the bill as long as it was read.

the camera guys act like TMZ bullies. they aren't being constructive either

This guy is a congressman in a ghetto/hick area in the south. He is not trying to run for president & if he did most democrats wouldn't vote for him.

yeah, seems to me the journalists are being fucking dumbasses..so was the congressman when answered, "i don't know" to the constitution question..but in general, he does have a point..the other brought on shitty arguments..who really does care how long it takes the bill to be read, how does that affect them?

Posted by on Apr-02-2010 16:56:

I don't get some people's arguments that because the bill is lengthy it is not sound? That's pretty superficial to me.

Shit the bed!!!!!

I never knew islands floated.

some islands do float like that man-made island project. I can't find the pictures right now off google but it looks similar to an offshore oil-drilling platform.

Posted by igottaknow on Apr-02-2010 19:39:

If I have enough fiber in my diet my shit will float too.

No, the point is that he was blatantly lying about reading the bill 3 times before voting, said he didn't care about the Constitution or Declaration of Independence while voting "on these matters", and couldn't differentiate between the two.... a great example of why the people are so disconnected from their elected officials.

Leadership? Are you serious? The guy is an unknown on a few backwater subcommittees and he's Democrat leadership???

Bush, the ultimate doofus of the GOP, regrettably made it to the Oval Office. Just glad America wasn't stupid enough to let the Republicans pull that one off again!

More to the point, it doesn't matter where you live. It reflects poorly on you if you can't speak proper English and express yourself in a coherent fashion.

As far as 17ss:

angry republican is angry.

The guy has been a Congressman forever. Being a Congressman isn't a leadership role? Who would you rather me mention in Democrat leadership instead, 3rd in line to the presidency Nancy Pelosi with an 11% approval rating, Senate Majority leader Harry Reid with an 8% approval rating, or the Democrat controlled Congresd with an all time low 14% approval rating? Even your Dear Leader Obama is under water now at 44%. Yeah it would suck to go back to the old days of 5% unemployment! lol!!

The whole Democrat vs. Republican thing is absolute fucking bullshit and your whining (as most everybody else in this country's whining) is doing nothing constructive for our current political situation.

It's like the entire nation is acting like fucking kindergarteners and, to be quite honest, it's really embarrassing. Enough already.

TA is an outlet where, on these stupid issues, people complain back and forth all the time. So what? In everyday real life where it really matters, you don't know what I'm doing that is constructive or not. All I can tell you is, I'm not one of those people who show up and picket or protest.
