So I'm absolutely crazy about this style, yet am having trouble putting it into a category (as rediculous as that sounds.)
What kind of house do you consider these tracks to be, specifically?

and the 2nd track is more housey and isn't my cup of tea.

And frankly there isn't much that IS your cup of tea Z.....

The first track by the Junkies, excellent producers and DJs as I recommend them.( I have seen them twice: once at Circus last year and another time in Toronto where they are from )

Anyway both of the tracks are pure tech house with some tribal elements that is common in the new tech house that many tribal house DJs have switched over too ( it's VERY popular in Ibiza ).

If you like this music you have good taste! That is what many top club DJs in Europe and South America are playing these days ( outside of the obvious trance , techno and prog ).

im definately no n00b when it comes to house, its just i haven't been able to pinpoint the actual house denomination for this other than calling it a tribal tech house, or tribally tech, or something along those lines, and its been driving me insane lately. i dont really know why. lol

I had only ever heard of the junkies, but never took the time to look into them, but that track is killer for me, describes a perfect style for me.

it reminded me alot of alot of stuff I heard at WMC last year.
and possibly a bit of ibiza, cause of some of it having a bit of latin flair.

Well if you feel better calling it Latin tech house or whatever that's definitely more descriptive and people will better understand what style of house you are talking about.

However if you want the simple definition it's tech house.

Just like the progressive house Hernan Cattaneo produces sounds a little different from the prog house that RPO plays ( which is typically a little darker ) and peter bailey ( which is a little more tech sounding ) ..... it's still technically all prog house....
