ufc penn vs edgar
who's everybody taking in this weekends fights?? I got Silva, penn, and Hughes, although I think this weekends fights will be one sided and boring I'm still watching.
Silva, Penn, Renzooo
I hope its more eventfull then the GSP Hardy fight lol
Silva, Penn will destroy edgar and Hughs will win a fast match over henzo..
For all you fight and BJJ fans out there.. Sunday at 12pm live on
http://www.budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php
They will have life stream from 2010 pan am BJJ tourny - this is the best of the best out there. Cant wait to watch all day..
Im def rooting for Edgar, i remember playing backyard football with him in Toms River and he was a tough little mother ****** back then and im sure he is a lot tougher now
Silva and Hughes will win.
Picks:
Penn
Silva
Hughes
Although I wouldn't mind seeing some upsets. I'm pulling for Renzo and Maia.
wow, what a weird card.
The Renzo - Hughes fight was kind of hard to watch. I was rooting for Renzo leading up to the fight, but by the 3rd round, I was praying for Hughes to just finish him.
Penn - Edgar. I was kind of sad to see this outcome. Edgar fought a great fight, and I am happy for him. But him winning throws a huge wrench into BJ's bigger plans. Unfortunately, I don't see Edgar being champ for too long.
That Silva fight was just disgraceful. I've never been a big fan of Anderson and his showboating, but last night's performance was just on another level. Dana White was surprisingly on point with everything he said about it after the fight.
Cant beleive edgar actually pulled it off and im surprised the fight rarely went to the ground. I think Frankie will defend his title for a couple of fights, but im also biased since im from TR.
Hughes was being way too respectful towards Renzo, he could have dropped him way earlier if he decided to.
Silva's showboating was entertaining at first but then became embarrasing to watch. He ran around in circles like a little bitch instead of finishing Maia. I really hope GSP moves up and takes out Silva.
Wow talk about upsets.
From BJ Penn not performing to Silva running around like a monkey all over the ring.
Penn wasnt there at all, he looked like shit compared to the Diego and Kenny fight. It was sad to see him like that. He also looked out of tone and out of shape.
I understand why Dana White is so upset, the Saudis might be thinking twice about the whole UFC thing after watching the main card.
Munoz was the only highlight, after being stomped on the first round he comes back to finish it. That guys ground and pound is some of the best in the UFC. I see a bright future for him.

UFC is going down hill really fast. The fighters need to be allowed to fight on a more international scale instead of just fighting other UFC fighters. I'm getting sick of hearing that they are the best in the world when they don't fight outside of the UFC. Silva was a jerk for acting the way that he did but let's be real, he has zero competition in that weight class and we won't see a really good fight for him again unless he fights up a weight class or is allowed to fight outside of the UFC.
Zack...not to start shit, but isn't this whole Silva thing between him and White almost like WWE?
I mean, FFS, White sent him to wait in his trailer? Lol...the owner bitching out the fighter privately?
I don't know...that to me is on the same level as wrestling...it's like a storyline.

Originally posted by zizack No, not even remotely close actually. This guy Anderson Silva is so full of himself, he decided to be a jackass and toy with his opponent and basically stopped fighting the last 3 rounds of the fight. It was disrespectful to Damiam Maia (his opponent) to the sport, and more importantly, to the people that paid to see the fights. Dana White has his douche bag moments, but you can tell he was very embarassed about what happened, and felt guilty about dissapointing the fans. Actually, this happened somewhat recently when Brock Lesnar (formerly of the WWE) last fought...he obliterated Frank Mir, and proceeded to give the middle finger to the crowd and talk shit about UFC sponsors. Dana flipped his shit on Brock for attempting to bring that WWE BS to an actual sport. Brock immediately apologized and acknowledged he got carried away and has since calmed down. There was no back and forth though like in the WWE. That shit wouldn't be tolerated.

Originally posted by osterzone I see it differently. To me, it looks like Dana White is trying to become some onscreen character..."the boss"...who bitches out fighters in his trailer. Do they even have trailers at all, besides for carrying the ring? White can't see Silva in a locker room backstage or something? White's behavior to me is no different than Vince McMahon.

Originally posted by zizack idk about all that. The UFC really does have most of the best fighters on the planet right now. That could not be said years ago when Pride was still going strong. But the UFC is bringing in fighters from all over the world now... What non-UFC matchups would you want for Anderson Silva at this point? Dan Henderson is the next best guy at that weight, and he already beat him. All the other top guys in that weight class are in the UFC already...
silva needs to fight a legit threat.
dana is just building up anderson as the heel.
man what a dick move by silva tho. he clowned on maia.

Originally posted by DOOMBOT Strikeforce has some decent fighters; Kevin Randleman, Frank Shamrock, Jake Shields, Gegard Mousasi. He could also start fighting 205ers. He doesn't walk around at 180... Hendo definitely deserves a rematch with him.

Originally posted by zizack Frank Shamrock and Randleman are not good fighters anymore. Shields will get taken out by Hendo for sure, and Hendo of course, already lost to Silva. Mousasi is a 205er I think you're right about him needing to move up. Although, I hope he fights Vitor at 185 first. If he goes through him, he has nothing left to prove in the weightclass, period. Its not like Silva has all these great challenges out there in other organizations though. All the big fights for him are against UFC fighters.
