Kiefer Sutherland's 24 is..over

It's pretty old news, found out about 10 days ago, but it's def tough news to swallow..24 & Lost have been the only 2 shows I've followed religiously since they came out, and both shows come to an end just next month..

That's so sad, 24 is so intense. Hey, at least they caught Dana Walsh, right? It really chaps my ass that it took them so long to catch her.

hehe, I usually abstain from watching from watching til the dvd comes out. I've always watched 24 that way..I don't mind the spoilers though, I always read about them somewhere!

Dexter is the best show on TV, but i will say i have been getting into the new mark whalberg HBO series, 'How to Make it in America', a much more realistic and flavorful version of entourage. Also Spartacus on Starz isn't half bad too, a nice mix of 300 and Gladiatior with plenty of gratuitous nudity thrown in.

I've know about this for a while. I don't watch the show. I've seen it a few times in flipping channels but it never really caught my attention. I'm more into the forensics and logistics shows like NCIS, CSI, House. Sci-Fi is also great, Tru-Blood is one of my faves, and I absolutely love BBC shows like Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Dead Like Me.

Was my favorite tv show. Keifer fit the part perfectly. Its a shame it wont continue.

Great show, sad to see it go. Finally caught up on my DVR and the last two episodes. All I can say is wow.

yea those last two were amazing. sad to see that actor go. he and kiefer made the season for me. Cant stand Freddie prine Jr, Dana Walsh actress and the CTU director and the CTU guy who wanted Dana. Terrible 4 actors.

If you are talking about that Inidian dude - he is like Brad Pitt of Inidia, very popular actor (Slumdog Mil. comes to mind).
24 been cheesy lately, but intense... Starbuck is a terorrist..

For some reason 24 never caught on for me. I watched teh first episode of Season 1 a few years ago and just never really had any interest in watching any more. I know a lot of people who are obsessed with it though.

What is the best season to date?

A lot of people would probably say season 5, which I think is my fav too. although the 3 seasons before that were all quality

Kiefer made the show, it would never work without him. I'm sad it won't continue, whereas some of my friends who are fellow 24 fanatics are more pissed at Fox, and understandably so.

the economy is bad & everything but has it come to the point where even the networks have to axe quality shows like this that already have an established fanbase? it would take a Long time for newer shows like the human target show or even fringe to get established viewers like 24 does. imo it makes better business sense to keep a successful show than to gamble on some new show that most likely won't get any viewers and gets canceled anyway. But I don't know how the politics work at these networks or how these decisions are made..Fox canceled the show because it would be too costly to keep it going and because viewership isn't satisfactory enough (to them) although the show isn't doing miserably bad at all.

If Fox thinks viewership isn't great they should consider the fact that Many 24 viewers (like myself) wait for the dvd to come out instead of tuning in every week..

I didn't start watching until Season 6. From 6 to now, it's all really good. Keeps you on the edge of your set.

I've seen all the seasons. From what I remember, 1+2 may have been the best because of their originality. 3 was very dark and a lot of people didn't like it. 4 I remember being really bleh, I actually lost interest. Season 5 I believe they brought in new writers and it was crazy. 6+7 I really don't think were that good, but season eight has been really awesome. For me, I'd say 1, 2, or this season have been the best.

Wow, poor Jack. He just can't win.
