DOWNLOADING MP3's

K guys.....
I have had it with WINMX and all the other shitty MP3 search engines that have nothing in the way of Trance, House, Breaks. I try and use Kazza but it sux for selection. I try WINMX but no one is ever online and when they are it takes about 3 hours. Audiogalaxy was the best, but now its gone....
Just wondering where all the electronic music fans go to download their singles, live sets, and full albums.
Im familiar with computers but not the coding from irc.
I started to try to use the TRance addict thingy but got lost and gave up.....
Are there any search engines that you would reccomend to find the rare or un-mainstream music

PS I also have FTP but only 1 site is still runnning and its not that impressive. So if any of you fellow TAs are willing to let me grab some stuff maybe once or twice a week It would be greatly appreciated and I will try and return the favor.

Peace

Pssst....no mention of full albums and CDs here mate.
But if you must know, go to the Chill Out forum and look for the Direct Connect Hub thread.

That should help a bit.

I might suggest www.soulseek.org

It's a solid choice if you're into electronic music (which I think is a safe assumption )

Really new releases take a while to trickle onto it but the selection definitely beats the pants off Kazaa and it's ilk.

This may help other out there who dont know where to go also....
I appreciate it a lot.

direct connect is great and fun, highly recommended. However nothing beats AG. I miss all the AG groups.

Soulseek is the Napster for electronica. Great proggie. Spread the word and get everyone involved into a very promising program. With enough users this can get huge. It's the only proggie that allowed me to find some really rare hard to get tunes.

Direct Connect

Direct Connect - Trance Adict Hub....

TONS OF NEW and OLD stuff....currently 2.14 terabytes of trance mp3's and video's...I got TRANCE ENERGY 2002 video, Innercity and TMF 9 Yearmix videos....all of them are insane and over 650 MB....Got Rank 1 @ Senasation 2001(white).mpg...
Direct connect rocks.......if u need to be hooked up, talk to BIZZ about it....he'll give you the password

Haven't tired the TA DC yet myself
but I'm using Soul Seek now its good enough, full albums etc...

but yeah as a lot of you mentioned AG, it will be missed

While Im waiting to get the authorization to get on the direct connection tranceaddict hub I got the soulseek software. Fuck me this thing is unbelievable! As its been said, its a peace of cake to get accustomed to it and the database is sheer quality! Thanx huge cortex for letting us know bud, Ill have to run out to buy a couple of extra hard drives now
