nin remix i'm working on

nothing very nin yet, just going to use trent reznors back vocals and maybe some distorted guitar from the multi-tracks. this is homework for school that's due next week

http://www.jeteemusic.com/audio/public/ninrem.mp3

mainly the idea of where i want to go with it. and yes, i know about the drums and who they sound like

Posted by Lews on Apr-17-2010 02:23:

I don't know who the drums sound like

I liked it, though

This is gorgeous. The sound in this is unreal, can't wait to hear the vocals.

Question: are a majority of the students at MI doing stuff more on the dance music side or are they concentrating more on pop/hip hop?

it's very spread apart. most are rock guys, really, really chill and kind guys. the hip-hop fellas are extremely high and mighty. they stay within their own clique. one kid tells someone he's not signed, yet tells the instructors his independent label is supplying his 26k$ tuition to learn engineering. it explains a lot about how full of shit they are

so many people just come high out of their minds, simply because the instructors don't care, you're paying, it's your future and choice. it's also very competitive and a lot of folks won't really become "friends" with you just because of that. if you make a mistake on the console, there is no "watch my back", most are just fucking vultures. but you can't expect much else in this industry

very sweet

Something about this reminded me of Burial. Perhaps the drums and background noises.

Very nice stuff. I much prefer this over your 4/4 tracks. It would be cool to hear some vocals on it.

It is different but the best way, so smooth, so clean, so nice, so calming - great created atmosphere. Awesome work.

Cheers

Really like how this turned out. Great sounds in there.

Are you going to post more school stuff in the future?
