Jester Paul Oakenfold plays a Sweet 16 Bday party

Sorry if this is old news or has been posted but I thought it was pretty funny that he can be hired out to play a sweet 16 bday party. i had that reality show Pretty Wild on and they were planning one of the girls bday parties and she's like i know someone who knows paul's manager and i can totally get him for my sister's bday party at their house.

so when he gets there, the two older sisters greet him and the one girl alexis was part of that bling ring that broke into all those stars homes and he was like are you alexis from that and she's like errr....yeah, and he's like so you guys tried to break into my home? LOL talk about uncomfortable moment. LOL but he played the bday party anyway. lol what a great gig huh? and even less respect for him now

hahaha wow what idiots.

I heard that too, hilarious. What is the bling ring?

Posted by element-y on Apr-18-2010 01:06:

wow thats 0 respect now. he took the gig when he could have walked right off the show. I think he wanted the tv publicity. I still dont get how the bling ring girls got a tv show. sad times.

Let's see, I've seen the Foo Fighters at a private party. 1999 I think?. I've seen Oakenfold before at one in 2000, too. He played with DJ Mix Master Mike.. Hmm, Alicia Keys in 2001. BB King (2000 or 2001). Outkast (two or three times). Filter, too...in 2000 or 2001. Snoop Dog did it in Old SchooL! lol. I am sure I can think of others where someone or a company had the dough to pay. Used to see it a lot in the late 90s and early 2000s when people had a lot of money to spend.

Point is...artist play at private parties all the time. Money talks in the end. Some artist do refuse to, but more than you think have no problem with it. If this wasn't on TV, we'd never even know about it!

and?? lol oh dave we all know it, i just thought it was pathetic that he still played the party at a girl who tried to rob him, lol

Posted by element-y on Apr-18-2010 01:58:

dave that isnt the point we are talking about haha.

they tried to ROB him.

Posted by 72hrpartyanimal on Apr-18-2010 01:58:

so whats the deal with these girls. they actually tried breaking into peoples houses and stealing shit???

I don't know the whole story behind it. And if they attempted to rob peoples homes, how the hell do they have a tv show afterwards. I know plenty of people who tried robbing peoples homes and the only thing they got was jail time.

i read into it. apparently they were a group of girls and later added more friends. They started off just breaking into neighbors and stealing credit cards and money. Then moved onto robbing celebs. They are known to party every weekend (and the amount of STD's they have?) and so were picked up for a show to show another tv series of young sluts drinking and partying and ruining our culture. I have no idea why they were allowed to have a tv show and with the stat on how much they stole, i am surprised they arent in prison.

Posted by DaveT on Apr-18-2010 03:15:

well, yeah...the robbing part of it all is hilarious.

There should be a TA reality show.

They had the show in work before the bust.
Speculation is she joined the ring to boost ratings.
They ripped off Paris Hilton & Lindsey Lohan so Oakenfold
fits right in.

cannot stand the girls on that show, however when i saw the clip of oakenfold on the commercial i had to tune in to laugh. BEST part of the show is one of the sisters asks "so who are your favorite djs?" and she says "justice, kaskade, i love STEVE AOKI!, and of course paul oakenfold!!"

i personally found that quite amusing.

Posted by element-y on Apr-18-2010 23:19:

how is aoki so famous? its like how was dj am every famous? some things are meant to be left unanswered or just not questioned haha

Posted by xCxStylex on Apr-19-2010 00:46:

Seriously. They should be thrown in jail.

Even worse, dumbf$#k trash who don't raise their kids properly will have their kids watching these shows thinking that's cool.

Are you sure you aren't making that up? The clip online has a different list of DJs:
Crookers, Justice, Jack Beats, Oakenfold

On second thought, it might be better to keep that clip buried in the bowels of the internet for all time
