Favorite Linux Distribution

my hard drive died a few weeks ago, and since then Ive been using win2k as I havnt gotten around to installing linux yet. But i grow tired of the blue screens of death and want a better os, so I want to know what is your favorite red had linux distribution.

Even though, I never used Linux before, I chose Red Hat because of the simplicity that I heard was present in it. Personally, I still don't know which is the easiest Linix, though. Can someone put up here, which is easiest? Thanks!

I use slackware and did some rock linux too. Slackware is one of the best there is. No extra shit u don't want. No crappy default configuration u don't want. Maybe it's harder to start with but in my opinion one of the best distro's out there.

i have two os's on my machine: win 2k and corel linux which uses the built-in kde interface. the core is not as flexible as the one of, let's say, red hat, but it's much easier to work with. imho, it's the best one of linux's with gui. kde has some advantages over g-nome. but again, many people got used to linux + g-nome combination, so it's a moot point
