Chicane's Album Behind The Sun

Ok, I have seen this "limited" album on Only-DJs, no samples of those tracks available yet. Most of them are out yet, there are some new ones. Did anybody check the album out yet? How are those new tracks?

Here's the tracklist:

A1 OVERTURE
A2 LOW SUN
B1 NO ORDINARY MORNING
B2 SALTWATER ORIGINAL
C1 HALCYON
D1 AUTUMN TACTICS
D2 DONT GIVE UP (DISCO CITIZENS VS TOMSKI REMIX)
E1 SALTWATER (THE THRILLSEEKERS RMX)
F1 DONT GIVE UP
F2 ANDROMEDA

I'd like to read some feedback about this album.

What's new in this album? I have had the album for ages, both the vinyl one and the cd one. Or is there really a version with some new tracks? I have these so far:
The vinyl album:

Xtravaganza [XTRAV10LP/5038892001015UK] 3x12"
A1. (03:46) Overture
A2. (07:10) Low Sun
B1. (05:08) No Ordinary Morning
B2. (09:55) Saltwater (Original)
C1. (09:20) Halcyon
D1. (04:53) Autumn Tactics
D2. (07:29) Don't Give Up (Disco Citizens Vs. Tomski Remix)
E1. (08:03) Saltwater (The Thrillseekers House Remix)
F1. (08:23) Don't Give Up
F2. (06:38) Andromeda

And CD album:
BEHIND THE SUN (27.03.2000)
UK Xtravaganza [XTRAV10CD/5038892001022] CD
01. (03:44) Overture
02. (06:56) Low Sun

Ok I'd considered those unknown tracks as new ones.

How are they anyway? I mean overture, low sun and andromeda.

"Overture" is the ambient intro just like "Early" was to "Far From The Maddening Crowds". "Low Sun" is quite similar to "Offshore" on it's melody and is one of my favs from the album. "Andromeda" is again quite similar to "Drive Home". It's a nice chilled track with a solid beat. Very good ending and as a track for driving home..

Check http://www.chicane.cc/ (a very good Chicane fan site) for more Chicane info.

Well, it's not new either but it's a quality remix. It's a lengthier (just under 10 minutes) affair with the vocals playing a smaller role in favour of a more upbeat, trancey vibe. Better than the original if you ask me, and probably more suitable for DJing.

Original Mix of Autumn Tactics is absolutely beautiful. One of the best tracks ever produced IMO.

BTS is a brilliant album, not quite in the same league as "Far From..." IMHO but still quality from top to bottom.

And the Tomski vs. Disco Citizens mix of Don't Give Up was the version that most DJ's were spinning when it was new.

As was said above, stop by chicane.cc to get more info as there have been a *ton* of remixes of all the principal tracks on BTS...Don't Give Up alone has about 10 variations...

Original
Radio Edit
Tomski vs. Disco Citzens Mix
Tomski vs. Disco Citizens Instrumental Mix (Only played at Palladium)
Peter Rauhofer Roxy Anthem
Peter Rauhofer Roxy Dub
Johnny Vicious Club Mix
Johnny Vicious Dub Vox
Michael T. Diamond Club Mix
Michael T. Diamond Dub Mix

and honestly any of the latter 8 would be appropriate for club play, it's just the bottom six didn't get as much exposure as they were only released as US White Labels (to the best of my knowledge at least...)

And I'd agree with you 100%, Autumn Tactics narrowly edges out Red Skies for my favourite Chicane track of all time...just a perfectly chilled out and beautiful piece of music.

I'm admittedly a bigger fan of the Chicane's End of Summer Remix over the original, but any variation on that track is bliss in my book

If they had left in Overlap, I would have totally bought this one.

Do u have the vinyl album too? My album has only the edited version of the remix, about 7:30. The full length 9:48 version is only on vinyl single.. if u have the full length version on the album, there must be different versions of the vinyl album then..
