Review: Jaxx House 9 @ Footwork (04/23/2010)
My first tribal party (lonnggg overdue) and I had SUCH a good time. Music for the most part was really good throughout the whole night. Cam takes best set. Awesome crowd, costumes and decorations! The vibe in the room was through the roof! Please have these more often!!

Wow, that was a crazy good party! So much fun! I had a freakin' blast.
I originally wasn't supposed to go since I was in the office really late last night and beat tired from a long week. But... When lopi confirmed that she was coming, I knew I couldn't sit this one out! And I'm sure as hell glad I didn't!
It was such a great turnout last night! A whole lot of awesome people came out to this party and I met a few new friendly faces too!
Lol Dallas Star was there? 
Wow, I am definitely checking out future Jaxx parties... So freakin' good, the music was awesome! Chris' set was so much fun... it had this funky yet destructive kinda vibe to it. I really enjoyed it! Chris means business!
I was also pretty impressed by Cam Maxwell's set, I've never seen him before!
The environment of the club was really cool last night too! All the decorations, the caution tape, the bean bag alligators and turtles, the binoculars that actually worked! You could be at the back of the room and feel like you're up front, it was amazing!
Kotsy had a badass get-up last night! I actually didn't recognize him with all the camo paint! I had to ask Jay if it was really him! lol
Bring on the next one!

I thought that party was all about the vibe! Probably the best we've had at a JaXxHouze event. Everyone was dancing and in a great mood. Damn the place filled up early eh? It was like 11:30pm when I looked around and the place was almost full!!
Great outfits everyone! Kotsy takes the cake on the war pain tho. Holy shit man, nice job!
That caution tape was the best find we've had in years for the decorations. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find some of these items.

I had been planning on dragging out a few friends from work to footy for a while, and I'm so glad it happened on this night!
They all had a blast despite only one of the 10 of them having ever been at footy before, and are all up for trecking it down from K/W for a night out there once every month or two...
We all had a blast. I got a random call from MikeyN and TBH night wouldn't have been the same without you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Rob, I miss you soooo much. It was fantastic to see you! Please drag Tony's ass down to K/W soon, so we can have a Friday on the patio!
We had to leave a little early, I messed up my elbow really bad and tried to dance it off, but it was swelling way to much to quickly to even toy with the thought that staying was a good idea...
Music was awesome, crowd was awesome, time well spent

What a night!! We went to Im_Not_Vince�s house to get our outfits on, have a few drinks, start bumping some tunes and got our war paint on thanks to the ladies - also had a few group shots to get things going. Got to FW around 11:15pm to Samhouse warming things up!
I was impressed by Samhouse�s choice of tunes, perfect way to get the night going. Had 2 serious tunes between 11:20-11:30 that really had be going! Good job up there you seemed to be really into it and having a blast, which is always nice to see up behind the decks!
Cam Maxwell was on next and fuck was he on fire! When Cam�s on , he�s a blazing INFERNO & destroys anything around him. I love when he cranks the volume and bass, really made FW rumble!!!! I love how Cam took us to peak hour party time and it was only 12-1am LOL, then he brought it back down accordingly for Irgo. Well done brotha!
Irgo came on looking super excited as usual and I know it�s always a treat to hear him spin his oldschool vinyls so I was just as excited! Nothing like some early 2000s groovy tribal for a change. Something about that older sound that makes me feel in place and attached. The last few tracks before D-Unity came on were absolutely MENTAL, driving the shit out of FW. The look on D-Unity�s faces were priceless they loved it!
D-Unity started off a bit slower than I had hoped, but I think it�s when the shorter Damian plays tech then the other comes on and drops the heavy tribal�.I like it though because the transition between the 2 is flawless and the change in sound picks everyone up off their feet! However by the time they really got it going it was after 4am and everyone was ready to call it in�
FW looked the best I�ve seen it EVER for this party. They should have themed parties more often hehe. Many many thanks to everyone who spent the entire afternoon/evening to turn FW into our special tribal bunker; it wouldn�t be the same without you!
Great to see everyone out and dressed up, really loved the outfits!! And now the wait for JaXx Houze #10 is on�.HMMMPHH!!
Thanks guys, I'm glad to hear everyone enjoyed my set on Friday. As I just mentioned in the Roll Call thread, I love tribal and just jump at the chance to play a complete set full of drums.
As people have already said, you really can't beat the energy and vibe at FW for these JaXx HouZe events. And that's a pretty huge thing to say considering FW already has the best vibe going of any other club in the city. I think Friday was a really great night and I'm so appreciative that I was able to be apart of it again.
Thank you to everyone who came out and a special thanks to the JaXx HouZe crew for putting this on again and inviting me to take part.
Long live the drums!!!!!!

Also, Can't wait for Patrick to post his vids. Irgo played a sik remix of a VERY old track. Don't know the name but def recognize. The lyrics are, "your not alone, I will be right beside you.....". It was a close your eyes track for sure!

I know this is a little late, but they just released a short video of the JaXx HouZe 9 event. It's really well done with interviews with the DJ's and promoters ect.
