Magik 8

I was wondering if any of you knew anything about magik 8, if its actually going to be released, or if tijs has decided not to make any more magiks, or anything. :/

is it never enough?? he just released isos 3... and he announced that he had not any plans for magik 8. so you surely will have to wait till this winter. i think.

Oh dont start the hype already, People were pissing me off before isos3 came out, every week some one would make a thread asking when it would be released for about 9 month before it eventually was released.

I like all the magik series, 6 was the highspot for me as I'm still istening to it now and then... perfect tracklist n' mixing- a real classic.
Though 7 was really disappointing, and if 8 will be anything like 7 was then I'll pass... the old magik albums feature the old tiesto style, 6 was his high point- as he made his big breakthrough just a bit before recording that set, ever since he became commercial and therefore moving along with the most populer genre at the moment... that also explains his latest progressive and chilled tracklists.

ey burns. good to hear from you

i agree with you..its every time the same... with magik 7 that happened. with isos 3, now magik 8... and we still have months to wait before this magik 8 will be eventually available in stores... so relax.

i was just wondering if he was going to make another one, i'm not in any hurry to get it or anything.

apparently it will be next year. he's too busy apparently (hence his drop from gouryella) and hes touring with moby.

LATEST?.....hhhhmmmm i guess u havent heard ISOS 1 which was released in 1999 or ISOS 2 which was released in 2000 before Magik 6...how can u say Tiesto is chasing the trends with "CHILLED TRACKLISTS" when hes been doing for years...

and as for as the progressive thing goes..he TRYED it...but stopped...that was like for a couple months and 1 album...

I hope he puts the Magik series to bed. Enough already... concentrate on producing/remixing.... no more mix CD's!!!

I'm not talking bout the ISOS series which was made as a chillout CD to begin with, I'm talking bout his sets- in which he playes infront a live crowed... not saying it's progressive, but you gotta admit it lacks the energetic pumping tunes he used to play.
Tiesto has been put as the world's most commercialized DJ, and is therefore playing commercial muzic. as uplifting trance's spot was taken by progressive he turned to play progressive and indeed stopped after several monthes, though he never got back to pure uplifting music but made his own unique style that features some calm tunes and several uplifting highlights in his sets.

Ya i know...like back in 2000....the energy set!! I dont think there can ever be a set that will beat that set. It was soo amazing!! Tiesto needs to go back to that style...i dont like it lately...all the melodic tunes...i like the really uplifting stuff

Dont blame Tiesto. Blame the fact that tracks havent been as uplifting as they were around 1999
