F. Schemmp - MGM 3 [50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s]
Mixed Genre Mix 3
*7/9 I (literally) remixed this a while back and only now have I uploaded it. Seeing as I mixed from the same cues, it generally sounds the same except the few transitions that are a tad different. I also kept vigil over the volume levels and passed the entire .wav file through a compressor so that I could reduce the noise (invariably) produced by some of the songs on high levels.
Here's my latest mix. Although it's less technical than my previous mix, it turned out to be a tad more difficult since a lot of the transitions are done by a quick swipe of the cross-fader or simply toggling the channel off/on for the incoming track whilst keeping the loops I used in sync and minding the EQing. At any rate, 'twas fun putting these favorites of mine together.
Hope you enjoy.

edit: there was a request (on another forum) for a working link for the "fur Goggle" mix, so I upped it: http://uploading.com/files/7m2a6551/GoGGle.zip/
Your mixes are always really interesting. This looks no different. Iiiiin.
A mighty fine mix this is.
Techincally speaking the mixing is near flawless IMO; transitions never seem too abrupt, or not harmonically pleasing, just like the other MGM-mixes
A few very notable exception from this though:
Islands -> Got My Mind Set On You (abrupt transition)
Crocodile Rock -> Runaway (harmonically displeasing IMO)
Runaway -> Dream Lover (abrupt)
When I'm 64 -> Chicago (abrupt and harmonically displeasing)
I did hope for a bit more quotes or at least more of the theme from Killer Klowns From Outer Space (was quite a letdown for me when the theme was about to start just to have it fade into a new song
)
Overall a great mix, but I still prefer MGM2 aka le meex fur goggle. It (and MGM1 aka Something That Isn't Corny) just had better/more catchy tunes to me
