Guide to Ear Training?

I started doing ear training exercises on Ricci Adams' Musictheory.net.

I've been doing a few intervals played separately, and identifying chords played simultaneously.

I have no idea if there is a better way.

Opinions? Maybe there is a book out there, or net guide?

Golden Ears is a 6 CD program that teaches you to hear various frequencies and the changes effects like compression limiters have. It progressively gets gets harder and harder with more detial.

It's the only ear training program I've seen that focuses on improving your ear for music production.

i think you guys are talking about 2 different things. There is ear training for audio engineering and ear training for music.

I'm doing this one as well, and it's not the kind of ear training I'm talking about.

There's something called "active listening" that i love to do and it's listen to the music and try to identify all the elements separately, chord progression, here he used this kind of effect.... with some practice is like the music it's whispering you the name of the keys , surprisingly sometimes i get to the piano and in a minute i have the full melody of that song i have just heard , i have really seen an improvement doing this because i listen now to some tunes i haven't listen in maybe years and i discover that there are new sounds in the background that i didn't notice they were there and this kind of sounds are often what makes that track a good track.
