Markus Schulz The DJ: Through his natural audience affinity, flawless (and seemingly effortless) mixing and innate tune selection, he has wowed crowds in pretty much every major district, principality and metropolis.
Schulzs DJ career has, to the greater degree, run parallel to that of his productions. In the early Noughties, having fixed focus on the hinterland between trance & progressive, he began to reach audiences further and further afield. In 2004 he was signed to the David Lewis Productions agency (also home of the Worlds No.1 DJ Armin van Buuren) and his career took another big step forward.
Now a regular fixture at the worlds biggest & most famous clubs, arenas and festivals, he lays down his unique trance-progressive vision on a weekly basis. In Europe, hes smashed Trance Energy, Nature One & Dance Valley, worked tent-pegs loose at Creamfields & Global Gathering and brought gridlock to the Love Parade. Stateside the colossal Electric Daisy & Ultra Festivals have both felt the Schulz pressure and yet further afield still hes induced floor upheaval in China and Australia (most recently at the Future Music Festival). After several significant showings in the Top 100 DJs chart, he now ranks as one of the top 10 DJs in the world and in 2008 was voted Best American DJ at the International Dance Music Awards.
NICE
I am glad to see the younger lub scene opening up
dammit, his return to sf was sooner than expected.
i love seeing him at ruby skye, but with the may 27 & may 30 markus events and edc end of june...i think i might need to skip out on this one.
Lineup updated.
Dave, you gonna fly out for this? I know you'll probably be in Colorado by then.
so probably no 4 hrs set? i hope it's not, i won't be tempted to go lol.
I would imagine less than 4 hours with Blarrel playing.
And I doubt I'll be flying up for it. Whether I'm in Colorado or not at the moment, I'll need the money I have to get to colorado and take care of other things at the time.

soo stoaked for this event!!!
heard about Markus' legendary 4 hour Ruby sets, u guys really think he wont spontaneously do one for this show?
I doubt it. If it were just him as one single main headliner, then yes. But with Blake playing, too, then no.
I'm really looking forward to this, but I'm hoping we get more than 2 hours of Markus. Friends are considering flying in for the event and I don't want them to feel let down. :P
After seeing Blake @ Rain this past weekend, I know I'll enjoy the whole night regardless, though!
I'll try asking this week what's up with set times for this night, if they are figured out yet. Maybe blake will do 11-12:30 and markus from 12:30 to close or 11-1 / 1-close. I dunno.

damn, I see Markus has two gigs on the 4th, im guessing he's playing in the a.m. in Vegas at the Palms pool party then flying to SF for Ruby...
he has one hell of a schedule...
Yes, once anyone knows set times please let us know...Im sure a lot of people will come depending on Markus' set time length etc...Although we plan to come for both Blake and Markus! Blake is real good IMO, love his "Concentrate" podcast!!!

The average high in Vegas in July is 106. FUCK THAT unless ur staying in doors.
Monthly Average Temperatures in Farenheit for Las Vegas

Weatehr Channel has the avg temp in Vegas on July 4 being 103. Again, screw that lol.

103, 106, child's play. I've been to the river on the 4th and it hit 118 and it didn't bother me in the slightest. Will be in the pool the whole time, thats for sure!
Yeah but you aren't full of fat and don't have skin as white as a ghost like I do (i used to be pretty tan but got sun poiseing after a weekend at Daytona Beach many years ago. Entire body bubbled, popped and my skin had a clearcoat for a few days with puss all over it as all my blisters popped and peeled. I've been a ghost since! TMI? ;-p)
And you're right...in Vegas 103 is probably nothing with the dry heat. Was in Pheonix once when it was around 110 and it wasn't bad. Low 90s in Florida/Texas/South/East US w/ the humidity is far worse.
But still, screw that. Not that I'll be going to SF (flights and stuff that weekend are not cheap)... but I'd rather see him in the AC and out of 100 degree weather when the opportunity is there. When talking in terms.

Lol Dave. I hear ya. But there are obviously a lot of people who don't mind the Vegas heat considering the multitude of pool parties going on every week all summer. But I'm sure SF will be beautiful in July thats for sure.
