FPS- who really rules PC or Console- your thoughts?
So I am striclty a PC FPS player- currently playing TF2- soon moving on to BF. So what are your thoughts- I think we all know that PC will rule console players. I wish they can cross platform for multi player one day.
The mouse and keyboard is easily the dominate control interface when dealing with an FPS. It's not even really a debate, unless you're arguing with 14 year olds who can't remember when people actually played games on their PC.
The good news is, the console has developed a controller that can finally HANDLE an FPS. But M&K will always dominate.
Same with RTS games, SIM games, and probably MMO's...
yeah, playing some rainbow six game on my dreamcast was horrendous, at least now it's possible.
But, Doom control also sucks on pc, no mouse
, makes me dizzy.

CONSOLE, without considering
I can't stand FPS without a mouse and keyboard.
I mean I love lounging around with a gamepad and a console playing other types of games (particularly RPGs, racing and sports) but FPS on them is retarded.
PC is where it started, and PC is where it should go. And let's not forget how stupid it is to play an FPS game with a pad.
cant compare the graphics on console to pc, and games too

It comes down to personal preference imo. If your taste leans more towards precisions and control, obviously PC wins hands down. If youre into gobbling cock, console would be more your thing.

The only decent controls for FPS on consoles comes from the wiimote, preferably mounted on a handgun. However, while that is acceptable for aiming, your shortcuts are still pretty much fucked.

Eh? The huge crosshairs in PC games is due to cross-platform development and devs being too lazy/jewish to provide PC players with an experience catered to their hardware
PC gaming is dead.
but i agree that the wiimote is horrible for FPS games, actually all games really. so floaty and imprecise.

fair point!
If I want to play a console game, I buy it for pc. But why would I want to buy console games? For the most part, they suck. Not to mention the costs of buying a limited capability console every 5 years. Limited in comparison to what a pc computer can do. If you need to upgrade, it's much cheaper and easier than having to buy another expensive console. If you don't like a mouse and keyboard, then use a gamepad designed for pc computers.

Wiimote is kickass for stuff like Zelda and Mario. Seriosuly, playing a Zelda game without one now would be like going outside without pants.
It's not great for FPS though I think that could be fixed up with a more precise pointer.

Admittedly ive only played about a dozen wii games, but the wiimote sucked for all of them. Its just not accurate enough.
