Vampire Weekend
If you haven't already heard them, they are a pretty great indie-rock band that draws heavily from African pop music. Listen to a cover of Fleetwood Mac's Everywhere by them here
I just though someone else might enjoy them. Cheers!

A-list actors and official music videos. Indie overload!!!
I just think they make good music.
Yes, but all of us are here because we probably liked trance at some point, too.

| Originally posted by Tranceporter99 I like ALL kinds of music, except metal and most country. I work at an independent, non-commercial radio station. I am around music all the time that I wouldn't normally seek out. Its nice to listen to something that is different from what you would listen to most of the time. |

I'm with ya. I really do like the scales they use, but jesus christ, it takes that many people to make that little of sound? I am by no means saying they are 'bad', because that's a fucking worthless argument when it comes to music, but the African Pop thing seems more of a gimmick and I just don't think they're very interesting. But that is obviously just my opinion.
The indie cred thing is total horseshit though. Independent artists don't have official music videos. This stinks of corporate backing! Power to the people! uruhguhg
And metal can be excellent - give it a chance.
OMG Hipsters in Kentucky?
i listened to vampire weekend before they were popular.
