Looking for Producers
Hello everyone.
My name is Adrian. Myself and some buddies overseas are in the process of starting up a label/ online shop and are looking for great musical artists of any and all fields (Edm or otherwise.)
We're big Techno fans but, we also love Trance and House and everything so after finding success in finding talent on another forum, here we are going to specialist genre forums in order to find guys who are really good at the genre they work in, but even better if they are into cross mixing genres.
If you're interested to learn more about what we do, please e-mail me at [email protected] (Our website is currently under construction)
We're not going to be taking just anyone who is at industry standard. We're really looking for outstanding artists. We're not new to this so, we're being very fussy.
Never the less please don't be afraid to drop us a demo. We won't tell you your shit if we can't work with your music, if anything we'll tell you how we think you can improve it to be something we can work with.
We hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this.
Has anyone heard anything about these guys?
I have searched and can't find anything relevant to them. Nothing on beatport or audiojelly or on the web in general.
To original poster, would be cool if you could give us an idea of some of the music you already have signed.
Way too many internet labels out there at the moment who offer things they can't deliver. I am not saying you are not the real deal but at face value I would like to see some substance.
Don't get me wrong, don't mean to be pushy or rude but this business is all about putting your money where your mouth is.
Kind regards
Nem
it's probably fake
i'm gonna give the OP a day to generate some proof that it's legit, but if not i'm going to delete the thread.
He's using a g-mail account for an e-mail address. I want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt - if he's a start up - but a g-mail account?

They do have a facebook page, if that counts for much.

I assume that they're a startup label, so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Oh, and no I'm not associated with them - I just googled their name and the FB page was the first (and only relevant) page that popped up.
edit: actually, looking at the text on their FB page, it looks like they've been a DJ outfit for a few years, but are now looking to branch out.

I would give them a few days but definitely would like to see some form of communication going on (from them)on this forum.
Cheers
... Um, I have nothing to prove to any of you, so, why would I care if you guys think I'm legit or not?
The page is coming soon because we've never had a webpage because as a DJ outfit for the last 7 years we've been successful via word of mouth. It's only been these past few months that we decided to get serious and turn our little group into all we could make it. Thus, we're making a website in which we will be selling our music and promoting our gigs and online radio shows.
We won't make anyone as famous as Tiesto. We're not going to pay money to fly anyone out who thinks they are the next shit hot act whose name means less than nothing here. We won't sign anyone whose music is generic and sounds the same as the majority of the crap that's out there.
And for the record guys, I have a life. So, I don't have time to respond to this in 24 hours just to prove that we're 'real'. I'm too busy trying to find good music and organise good parties so, see ya

Adrian,
Firstly, thank you for responding.
Please do not take my original question to you as a direct attack against your credibility. You must understand that when you are dealing with people on a creative level, they will want to know that they are after and if you post on a forum people will question what you have to say. Its their right, just as it is yours to make the proposition in the first place.
Perhaps I should have read your initial post a little better so will take that on board, however it does give the impression that you are a little further ahead in the process than you actually are but I am sure this was not intentional.
As you are in this industry you must surely be aware that there are plenty of scammers and half arsed labels out there and its because of these people that you need to ensure that you set yourself apart from them by being upfront and listing exactly what you are able to offer from the get go.
I am genuinely concerned over the fact that you would choose to respond in such a fashion rather than address the serious questions and disregard the not so serious comments. I dont for a minute think that anyone here expects to be flown anywhere much less wants to be the next Tiesto.
You have nothing to prove to your potential talent base? On the contrary, I would say that you have everything to prove given your labels status at this time, I would say its imperative that you present a serious profile to encourage quality artists to sign with you.
At this time it is just a proposition that has no substance, what you are doing is asking people to come onboard and to believe in your vision; therefore you have to sell it much more convincingly.
Bottom line is that you need us as much as we need you in this day and age.
Based on personal experience, if you are going to be A&R you have to do more than just post some text in a forum. And you can ill afford to make the types of comments you just have. If you cant take criticism you are in totally the wrong industry, and dont bite the hand that feeds you, this much I know.
I sincerely hope that I will be able to look back on this and see the site and think to myself, wow, these guys really got it together, good on them, and will gladly accept a slice of humble pie if that is the case.
Many of us have been totally shafted by online labels and I even worked for such a label before I realised what was going on.
For the record, we all have lives, which is why we dont have time to submit tracks to labels who will not take artist concerns seriously.
Your business sense needs an attitude adjustment or you will fail.

^ Nicely put, Nem. That pretty much sums up my reaction (and then some) to the OP's response.

Not that it's anyones business but, outside of work we have personal and private lives. It's physically impossible to devote yourself to a business 24/7 and is unhealthy to even try. You can't make good music if you're dead.
If this forum had a genuine problem with 'bots' it should address it in a more polite manner. You can tell a lot about a musician by their attitude. I love how everyone who e-mailed me with the attitude that they are all ready a big deal had really very amateure music to present. Don't get me wrong, one mans germ is anothers gem, but unfortunately more times than not it's the people on internet forums who get shown no respect yet show much when they submit their demos who actually have a wealth of talent. They don't become so disposable.
You all have the right to say what you like and voice your suspisions and so forth, just the manner in which you do it speaks volumes of your character. Have a nice day and please refer any further comments to my e-mail.
Thank you.
haha this guy is a fucking loser!! He aims to attract talented producers to his label yet goes on to emphasize that he does not prioritize his business over 'his life'. I f you wanted to sign me you make it your life ************!
