I saw him in November after not seeing him since 2005......

All I can say is . He is just not my style. His music was sooo out there. Especially since he went on after Ronski it was just plain weird. Very Psy... eesh.

hmmmm... yea i see what you're saying. im watching some youtube videos right now and yea that is defiantly psy. i mean its not horrible but ummmm, not what i thought he played at all. i always thought he was just another trance dj. might still check this out anyway just to support the trancey shows so in the future we get more (and possibly better) shows.

This is true. And if you would've gone the Gryphon thread would be 150 pages with you blasting the show and demanding that Gryphon close down & Donnie be deported for bringin them. I liked A&B alot. But with those long buildups and breakdowns I think you would've wanted to die

As for Lawrence, the only time I heard him play live was when he closed for Corsten @ Space in late 2005. He actually banged it out, and started going into some psych trance or whatever they call it later. Wasn't bad, just different. He also was @ Bang in 06, yet he started so slow that I ran to another stage. I will check out some sets and go if he sounds halfway decent, as I also want trance shows to succeed so people follow up with more ...

This is just the beginning of a few trance acts we have in mind. Our camp thought that bringing Christopher Lawrence and his psy-trance / house influenced sound would prep you guys up for what we have in store.

Also be sure to check out DJ Dan & Donald Glaude, June 11. Element One from Coldharbour will be on the card that night for the early hours. Only $20 buck pre-sales, be sure to grab your tickets. Click the link below:

you forgot the crowd. i would of ripped them a new one too.

Posted by MeLLyMeL on May-22-2010 01:51:

yeah - don't get me wrong.. I wanted to see him too.. but i seriously felt like i was at a rave and him going after ronski speed wasn't a good mix - at all.

Ronski plays the trance i like and just the shift with lawrence was a little too much for me. I still stayed for like an hour.

Def check it out. I think Joseph & element one mightmake it better. I know how J plays - not so much element.

In all honesty this show might not happen. Nocturnal/Eden got the power pulled on them last night, whole venue shut down, we were gonna catch Omid 16b there last night but a couple of the djs playing there showed up at Gryphon. Good luck with this, Nocturnal been in foreclosure for a while now and keep dodging bullets. It was supposed to be auctioned off last week and the bank fucked up paperwork and it didn't happen. but in the end their on their last life

There was a an issue with the transformers / power-lines, problem was finally resolved at 7 AM that is why the show could not move forward. No, they did not get the plug pulled on them, and no they are not dodging bullets like you claim. In all honesty Donnie get your info / gossip correct before you come out saying false and misleading information. Thank you

The show on the 11th of June and 18th will move forward. And keep your eyes peeled for a plethora of other quality events brought to you by Element Entertainment. Thanks again

I had a great time at Nocturnal during WMC! Great shows, great atmosphere! I really hope these shows happen. You can count me and all my friends in for sure!

Good 2 C Kaeno is playing @ this event. He brought us a great event for WMC with Markus & company @ Dream, and he plays good trance as well.

Quick question for element ent: is the trance event going to be inside or outside?? I ask because there seems to be 2 different parties listed on that flyer, and/or definitely too many djs to all play on the terrace ...

Posted by life thru HD on May-24-2010 00:33:

i think it's going to be a good night. he plays good deep house as well which imo compliments psytrance great.

and yeah def great to see kaeno dropping some bombs

True story from the Miami Dade Clerk of Courts. Here was the first listing when it was supposed to be auctioned off on May 12th.

Auction Status
Proof of Publication not received or incorrect
Auction Type: FORECLOSURE
Case #: 08069512CA01
Final Judgment Amount: $5,160,157.84
Parcel ID: 01-0101-080-1030
Property Address: 50 NE 11 ST
MIAMI, 33132
Assessed Value: $717,178.00
Plaintiff Max Bid: $5,160,157.84

The paperwork was supposedly turned in incorrectly from the bank to the city. When the new listing goes up, I'll post it. This is all from the city website people, its all public knowledge. The owners at Nocturnal have 9 lives. Inside source says this will be around until October but we will see if this Auction happens anytime soon

Just stating observations. Funny they are the only ones on the block that had power issues, the rest of the block was lit up. In all honestly if there was a technical issue you probably would of seen FPL trucks out front of the building considering Nocturnals electrical vault is out front of the building on the eastern corner.

Hey Donnie, do you remember a few months back before WMC or after, not sure when that Space had a power issue on a Saturday. That same exact day Nocturnal and Eden did not go through that power issue and all the club goers that were @ Space went next door and kept partying.

Just curious weren't you @ Gryphon this past Friday? If so, how do you know if there were F.P.L. trucks in front of the building. That's unless if you have a "counter surveillance system" attached somewhere around the outskirts of 11th st. Or MAYBE the bums give you the inside scoop on what's going on every night, who knows....

Its pretty funny how a promoter who does events on a Friday seems to be snooping around all over the place even in the Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts records. I give you an "A" for effort chief, but an "F" for professionalism. Very low to be trying to bash other events man, very low...

I love when you promoters start fighting it out with each other. You really think there is an ethical code for clubs & promoters in South Florida, its the Wild West. Is it professional to open a club, take out loans on it & never pay them back like Nocturnal has done

Far be it for me to defend Donnie Gryphon, as we have had our disagreements on TA. But you were acting like Nocturnal is not in foreclosure??? Donnie was 100% right about that, it is a matter of public record. You claimed it was gossip & rumors, and he then posted facts with a summary of the auction status. So how can you complain, you are the one that denied it and he pulled out public records to back it up.

Anyways Glen & Noc will survive, at least for a while. The property is majorly upside down right now as a result of the real estate market crash and bad loans given on it. There now is a $5.1 million dollar judgment and the property is only worth a little over $700K. The bank will lose big time if they auction it off in this current market, as they'll never collect on a deficiency judgment.

I don't need to argue and or fight with no one on no forum, just here to promote these two events and answer any questions members of the T.A. family might have. I'm also defending the fact that these two forthcoming events sponsored by Element Entertainment on the 11th and 18th will move forward.

Yes I was at Gryphon but I have very good friends that live in downtown and kept me in the loop, also a couple of industry people that kept me in the loop also, and I know a couple very good friends that are promoters for afterhours that filled me in too. None of them saw FPL trucks. So it wasn't snooping. I was trying to figure out if Omid was gonna play or the show was done completely.

Yes I do remember that, every club on that block, including Gold Rush and all the street lights and stop lights were completely out. Nocturnal/Eden was in the clear because they have a generator that kept that club running, and that info is from a great industry source who did all the electrical in that building. I'll back my info up with facts here also, just so everyone can see, gotta make sure my gossip is straight lol. Kudos to Nocturnal for having a generator

Picture I took from Miami Ave and 11st the night the power went out, Space was doing the around the world party or something like that, I remember bc I wanted to see David Tort.

I'm not trying to ruin any of your events, just stating facts. Actually looking out for you throwing the event, to make sure you have a back up plan if something was to go down. Kind of like the Karu and Y situation when they got shut down on a Friday night and they moved that party over to Mekka.

So in the end, keep a back up plan because you never know when a sinking ship will go down.

I will give it up to Glenn over there, that guy figures out a way to get around all this shit. I'm hoping they make it through the summer because there is a couple events I would like to see.

Actually Chief I don't work on Fridays, only Saturdays but I have been helping out with the Friday nights, well because in all honesty they had fallen off, so I was asked to help with them and it seems that since the beginning of May our Fridays have definitely made a big come back. We only had that one big booking, A&B. We had the myself and the Space boys in there, packed house, Oscar packed house this past Friday and the week before A&B we did the Brazilian Party that was slammed too. I don't bash events I look out for other people putting on parties because I know exactly what it feels like to lay a couple grand for an event and lose your money, it sucks!
