I actually find trance helps me go to sleep...strange....

Posted by webmeister on Jul-20-2002 12:42:

nothing better than waking up to the sweet sound of trance in ur ears...

I don't sleep if I've been listening to harder trance or marco v style etc, I usually play something more mellow & uplifting later on to kinda wind down the day, or even full on chillout stuff

I was listening to a 2 hour set from tiesto in bed before with earphones, and in the last hour of the set i was falling asleep, just drifting off, then when he droped push - Strange world my brain just got into gear and i got up and i was like..... WOW Amazing experience, ive had that with different sets by different DJ's i had it when Ferry mixed system f - solstice with Tony Walker - Fields Of Joy (original mix). Absoulutly Amazing.

same here, the mainly repetetive beat and the fact it drowns out all other sounds, evetually makes your brain think the music is a natural sound level, so you easily drift off to sleep

I'd usually listen to full on trance during the day, and at night before bed I'd usually put on more trance, or a Sander Kleinenberg or even a chillout set. Perfect.

Posted by djshorts on Jul-20-2002 17:04:

yeah i find trance can be unbearable when ur tired so i stick a little moby or chilled house on!

I listen to trance pretty much 24/7......i go to sleep listening to trance....with a 30 min sleep timer on my stereo listening to some set

Posted by assassin8 on Jul-20-2002 18:35:

Trance help me relax, so it is actually easier for me to sleep.

LOL, same here...

...and I wake up at 7:00 for summer school, so I have my stereo set to 7:05, and usually some more chilled out CD set to be played.

then i got my walkman for college.....where i listen to it....virtually 24/7.....gotta have my trance.

I know what you mean.I ALWAYS have to have some music injection before going to bed.I often can't sleep prior to travel,so what I usually do is put on ISOS 2 and listen to it all the way through. After that I'm out like baby, and all rested up and ready for travel the next morning.Works everytime

Posted by Greedy on Jul-21-2002 10:45:

i wish i had a bed

Posted by Blue. on Jul-21-2002 22:38:

I can't sleep when music is playing I need complete silence.

Posted by Cobalt on Jul-22-2002 00:23:

I always end up listening to trance on the floor of my computer room each night, and invariably pass out to the beat after about half-an-hour. Then I wake up in the middle of the night halfway down my playlist and move to bed. It's really an annoying cycle, actually.

All I can say is just learn from your mistakes

Really? I have the opposite problem - I can't sleep in complete silence. I need something to focus on, so my mind doesn't wander and keep me up.

I Listen to trance every night when im in bed with my head phones. About 2 hours of it and my brain gerts tired, but thats only coz im most of the time tired anyway but i lose it everynight. Different set each night. I LOVE IT. Amazing

Posted by jdat on Jul-28-2002 13:01:

trance is the main thing that has caused me to live under serious sleep deprivation ...

I live on trance literally 24 / 7

WE ARE THE NEW BREED

lack of sleep makes you feel as if you were drugged .... and trance is the main element that keeps me working on even when sleep I have not had for a long long time

Posted by Fresh on Jul-28-2002 13:09:

I always need silence when trying to sleep. Even a ticking of a clock will keep me up all night

Posted by tall paul 2 on Jul-28-2002 14:29:

i had the exact problem as u! When i downloaded marco v - i feel u (pvd edit), i listened to the track most of the day over and over again, so when i went to bed i couldnt get the lyrics out of my head. I usually find turning on the radio and not listening to trance helps (of course i have to force myself to listen to anything non-trance!) u should try it..

I sometimes when I really have to get some sleep turn on the local classical radio station ... an NPR station
you people should listen on saturdays they have fun shows in the afternoon ... I often listen to them cause that takes my mind off music for a bit

Posted by sherman on Jul-28-2002 18:51:

the only bad thing about falling asleep to music for me is that when the cd stops it wakes me up and it takes at least ten minutes for me to fall asleep

Posted by DJ CLUSTER on Jul-28-2002 18:59:

I find when putting on a Digweed set it helps me relax.
I can't fall asleep to it, however after listening to it and snoozing for a while I can pretty much fall asleep as soon as I turn it off.
