Spicy Friends - Unite!!
So Im a huge spice FIEND, anything and everything I eat I will more than likely put some spice/sauce/oil/pepper in it to give is some extra kick! Pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, soups, salads, eggs, meat, hell Ill even put some on my veggies
Spices are magical for me, I feel so adventurous and always love to add a dash of this here or a hint of that there to see what new flavourable foods I can satisfy my palate with
So what are you spices of choice?
Tabasco (really, every spice addict needs this)
Cracked black pepper
Wasabi

Jalapenos and cayenne or hotter peppers
Garlic Chili Sauce
Hot Chili Flakes
Viet Siracha chili sauce
Spicy Chili Oils (LOVE these) *homemade is the best*
OMG DIES
Garlic cloves (mostly for flavour)
There's a few more but I gotta dig in my spice shelf to find out the rest...anyways my mouth is on FIRE right now I just had a full-out jalapeno/garlic/tabasco infused hamburger helper meal for lunch!! Note to self: keep a jug of milk in the fridge at all times LOL
Spicy friends, what do you use?!

end note: thanks to my love sarah for introducing me to the world of spices...i cant believe how bland my meals were before you <3 hehe!
I love this thread!
The "El Rinconsito Mexicano" In Cambridge .... SO GOOD!
Ask them for there Hottest Hot Salsa.

All those sauces you mentioned are weak, good taste, but weak.
You want hot, get something from Blair's.

That's my ketchup now
i used to poor tobasco all over my chicken, then i bought "Louisiana Joe's Habanero Sauce" and it only took a few drops to feel just how hot that sauce was... I've built my tolerance to it now though
also, i've always loved that sriracha hot chili sauce !

I love spicy. Funny story is it all startd when I was quite young and I had a jar of chili oil spilt on my head by a clumsy waiter. I use so much wasabi on my sushi
Put tons of spices in my rubs, marinades, and sauces. I got my girlfriend hooked on it too now
ps Stefan, the one that you had at my place is on the right

Truly a "must have" in my kitchen at all times.
Also, I'm rarely without ancho, poblano, chipotle, and thai chili peppers on my shelf either in tried or fresh forms.
If y'all like spicy, then here's where my favourite dish is served:
Mexitaco I typically get the Enchiladas Diablos con Carne (not on the menu I know, but they'll make it for you after warning you first lol). It always leaves me with a nice sweat & my skull vibrating, but the flavour is so damn good that I've actually licked my plate when my lady isn't looking.
Be warned though, a couple people who thought they could do spicy had problems with that dish. But then again, my favourite snack is habanero sauce on crackers.

I prefer cooking with spice over putting it on after.
My mom and aunts have a fuckin artilery of spicy peppers and chilis in our garden from jabeneros and various other chilli peppers.
Chop em up and cook with them and the taste is a smoother flavour and not rip your asshole off hot.
At the end of the season my mom makes a random wicked batch of sauce from all the chillis leftover before the first frosts when you have to pick everything. Boils it up, adds some other spices and DAMN it's a hot sauce! Use that for everything in marinades sauces etc.
It's stopped being a competition for me and how hot can everything be, or can you handle. I prefer taste over heat. Just because I can handle the heat, doesn't mean I should lol....
If i'm putting sauces on food, it has to be one of these just for the taste and perfect amount of heat IMO to compliment the flavour of my foods.
This is the shit!
Anyone from England would remember this... one of the tastiest blends of heat and flavour IMO. When I was in England, loved putting this on cheese toast and various pies! You can get it here now to, but it's not the same
And IF I had to pick a generic or normal one, i've never liked Tobasco, to much straigh heat, not enough taste...it was never hot, just almost annoying. I prefer Franks RedHot over tobasco myself.
I love putting hotsauce on ghetto white people frozen food! :P
I prefer to use straight red chilli powder. It just adds heat, without changing the flavour of the food. Most hot sauces suck, because they are based on vinegar/Tabasco sauce.
You forgot spicey mustard mmmmmmmm:

There's a better kind that comes in a smaller jar but I forget its name. I think it's keenes, keanes etc.
