i just quit my job!

... but it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be.

my boss said he knew it was coming because i have been too happy lately. I have been mentally ready to quit for a long time.

What will you do now?

Be a woman of leisure?

I am so jealous right now.

sometimes you just have to walk away; i did it last month. the first week away is when you feel good / giddy but it's been nearly a month and i still feel pretty damn good.

They need you and you need them. So the fear of quitting a job should be immense.

today i think it might be, especially in this economy.

I quit two weeks ago and have been at a new job since last Tuesday. It's practically the same thing with better pay, far better incentives, less work, a tonne less bullshit, less driving, less admin, far better room for growth, better people and other benefits. It's fucking awesome

congrats melissa! must be a liberating feeling as I too have been feeling the urge to move on. Gave about 5+ years here so I think I'm ready, venture capitalism here i come

what the eff, I will be transferring to a new department in a few weeks for a new job...i guess everyone is changing it up now.

lol, i guess the c0r kind of helped with that. when i was interviewing, at least three people said they were excited about my resume. it was pretty funny. But they were referring to the content.

I don't hate mine, but pretty much agree with what JBJ said. It's just a temporary means to do the stuff I really enjoy in life and to eventually do something I enjoy for a living.
