If you had a chance to go anywhere in Europe where would you go?
To make a long story short, I have a great opportunity to travel to any country in Europe for one week with all expenses payed. So I am sitting here and contimplating!
Should I go to:
Netherlands/England/Germany/Italy/France
The only problem I see is that if I go to any other country other than England I am affraid I am gonna have problems communicating since I only speak English & Russian. So what's a poor boy to do? Also I want to catch some big event or a festival and I want to hopefully go there by the end of August. Desicions, desicions!
WHAT SHOULD I DO? WHERE SHOULD I GO?
Just thought I would ask you guys! Since I know some of you have been around Europe!
i've been to all countries listed.. language will not be an issue.. with english, youll be able to get around anywhere..
as far as recommendations, it depends on what you are looking for..
I personnaly wouldn't go to Germany or France (they are nice countries, but there is so much better to be seen).
so, your choices should be:
ENGLAND: It is okay.. IMO, highly overrated.. has some nice sites and some nice clubs.. everything is bloody expensive and weather is awful
NETHERLANDS: Party scene is great (especially if you like trance). Canabis cafes.. live sex shows.. etc. Overall pretty nice, but noit that many nice sites plus weather isnt great either
ITALY: Go to the North of Italy and check out Rome (plus Ostia) and Rimini. Great looking sociable people. Some good clubs (at Rimini = awesome; but elsewhere, not as good as England or Netherlands). Amazing weather and really cool atmosphere
I would also consider Greece (the islands) and Spain (Barcelona, Madrid and Ibiza) if I was you
thanx I was just thinking of Ibiza and Greece! sounds interesting too!
Btw, if everything is paid (100%), I would go to Ibiza.. It will be your most expensive trip ever.. A week there will cost you easily(return flight from London to Ibiza + food + lodging + clubs + consumptions) $1500-2000CAN.
well actually I don't have to pay for the accomodations and the round trip ticket other than that I have to shell out some cash on food and clubs I guess, or any site seeing if time allows!
hey armada, you should come to Holland. Me and 2 friends are going in the middle of august.
2 things to consider: A lot of people speak english there and MysteryLand is on the 17th of August (www.mysteryland.id-t.com). If you're planning on going at the beginning of august, you can check out Dance Valley.
If I were you, I wouldn't go to england. Never been there myself but from what I hear it's over-rated, over-priced, and you can't get anything good to eat except for $35 fish&chips.
In my opinion, Spain & Ibiza would be the best considering it's all paid for and the weather will be really nice...

Trancearmada, I got my passport within 2 weeks. I simply went to passport office, came back two weeks later and boom - I have a passport.
I just got tickets for departure to Holland on the 15th, and arrival on 27th.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get Mysteryland tickets as well. They are expensive though.. 50 Euro - that's like 75-80CAD i guess. I hope it's gonna be worth it.
Ya by posovetal holland ili ibiza -spain
vybor tvoy.....
Italy, love Italian food
and my country Slovenia is next to it so I'd go there to and see relatives.
weather or fun
if weather is your choice than most of the ideas given sound great. if your not took picky and just want to have a bangin time. I would say scotland because its cheap and can speak english(+ i've been there), but also Czech is good and cheap only is travelling with friends. The northern countries sound great......I gotta vist swenden, finland, holand, netherland.......must be nice up ther and most trance artists are from there.
speedRacer
Travel and accomodation paid?
WTF?!! Son of a... (where the hell do you people get these deals?)
Anyway, if you're gonna go to Europe, there are only 2 countries you should check out... one being Netherlands, and you should try to go during one of those big raves too (Mystery Land sounds good enough). Weather is great during the summer, people are great, girls are damn nice, grass is everywhere, I mean, how can you say no?!
Second choice (I should've put this one as a first choice!) is Spain.. not necessarily Ibiza (but you should definitely check out the party island if you can!), but Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and those major cities. Bro, girls down there are mint, I mean mint! Great music and vibe everywhere, and depending in which city you end up, you can even catch a ferry-boat to Ibiza for cheap, and check out the heaven on earth too... weather is beutiful, culture/history is amazing, I mean, just a fascinating country...
Oh yeah, get me one of those deals, and I'll come with you & show you some interesting places in whichever country you end up...

I would go to HOLLAND since Armin himself invited me to go there to visit him at his home.
Hehhee, sure, I'd love to know how you got that... just PM me.
As for the New Years, that's a great idea too... check out the Innercity in Holland (around 29th/30th of December), sweeeet!
The weather might not be on your side though...
Then again, summer & Ibiza... oooooooh! You have a pretty tough choice there bro!
This might help in your decision though - since you're gonna be paying for all the clubs/entertainment/whatever, consider a week on Ibiza to be very expensive (with entrances to clubs costing you around $100 CAN, very expensive drinks, and what not), so if you're short with money, you might wanna stay out of that place... or just chill on the beach all day long and forget about the clubs (yeah right!)

HOLLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or
Ibiza
Just a quick question, wanna clear it up so I know. How do you pronounce Ibiza? Some say it like e-bith-a and others e-bit-za can anyone please clear it up?
Well, apparently the people on the island itself call it "eee-bit-za", while everybody else who has no clue what a hell is going on is calling it that weird "e-bith-a"... like, wtf?
WE'er going to IBIZA.... a song.. listen to it then you will know how to pronunc it or how ever you spell it..
