wtf? if you hate it then why the hell post in this thread where it says specificaly for people from latin-american countries?

oh ya, and there should be a section for spanish speaking people on the board also, since there is one for germans, dutch, etc etc...

Claro que conta! Se eu que sou brasileiro estou aqui, porque voc no estaria? Err... Brasileiros contam, n?

Someone asked why he posted, if he doesn't like latin culture and music: because he's latin, no matter what. I'm latin myself (Portuguese is my native language), but I don't enjoy latin music either (well, it obviously depends: Mauro Picotto is Latin, but he rocks ). The Latin culture is very rich (more than 6 languages different points of view - plus, Spanish and Portuguese are among the top ten most spoken languages: not all Spanish speaking people share the very same values and stuff).

no it doesn't.. it says people that are latin speaking.. therefore I'm included as I'm portuguese.

I just got fed up of listening to too many crappy latin music, now I hate them all...

there's a thread on the site suggestions forums about an iberian forum though the idea has moved towards a latin speaking forum.. please post there as we all need more people to approve the idea

estoy en el segundo ao de una gran escuela para intrpretes.
estudio francs y espaol. sera muy interesante tener un foro con slamente hispanohablantes, estudiar una lengua es sobre todo estar en contacto con los habitantes del pas donde se habla esta lengua.

Italy is a latin country u fool

Posted by Mako on Sep-01-2002 18:36:

ummmm...no.

when you call someone a latino you are referring to a person of a spanish or portugese speaking origin.

In italy they speak ITALIAN. Yes spanish, portugese and italian all have close lating origins, but that doesn't make italy a latino country :P

Posted by Lira on Sep-01-2002 20:36:

Latin: This word comes from Lazio - the region where Rome is located, therefore, Italy MUST be a latin country. All countries that speak a neo-latin language is a latin country (except for those in Africa where people were forced to speak these languages even though, they're not ethnic latin...)

Maaz' concept of Latin countries:

In Europe: Portugal, Spain (except for Euskadi), Rumania, France, Italy, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican.

In America: All countries, except those that have English or Dutch as official languages.

Funny thing... I've got Italian blood and I'm latin
