Severe thunderstorm warning for City of Toronto issued
Severe thunderstorms with torrential downpours have developed north of the western end of Lake Ontario. Rainfall amounts of 50 mm or more in a hour are likely. Thunderstorms are expected to weaken from west to east over the next hour.
This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or occurring in these regions. Remember some severe thunderstorms produce tornadoes..Listen for updated warnings. Emergency management Ontario recommends taking cover immediately when threatening weather approaches.
