Weeknights...

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be in Montreal for a few days starting tomorrow... just stopping by and saying hi here

Can anyone recommend some places to visit on weeknights? TIA

THURSDAY: Cafeteria, any St-Denis bar, Lafleche@Illume, Living

wednesdays used to be sushi night @ China with Lafleche, but that was 2 years ago

I've totally lost track of the scene.. but Blue Dog Wednesdays is possibly electro, and there's Laika or Living one of those two used to have a trance night either monday or tuesday.. dont quite remember

Joy Club - 2102 Rue DE LA MONTAGNE..

It a pretty happening club, They play good house along with some hip hop..which doesn't really last that long.

Crowd typical age is like 20-30ish

Only problem with the place is that it get's busy only at around 1 ish

And I would like to stay until Saturday, but chances are I'll be down south by then

Apu, I might take a look at Joy and on the Wednesday some of the other suggestions. Otherwise, might just settle for a bar or pub or something else. (any suggestions? lol)

I really wish I could stay, but I honestly don't think I can make it But if there's anything going on sometime during the last two weeks of August, I'll probably be back in Montreal at that time

Trust me on this one...I go to central almost every weekend and when they renovated the place they changed Friday's to both House and Hip Hop..I've been 3 times since and they played Hip Hop 2 of the 3 times!

Saturdays are still only house

Malek, It's not just Hip Hop.. The last time I was there they played 2 hours of house and around 30 mins of Hip Hop.. It's really not that bad but Saturdaydays are still wicked!!! DJ Kal is awesome

Just to clarify things, it was entirely House on Tuesday night at Joy. Met the DJ and a bunch of other folks too. Friendly and clean place.. thx for hooking me up Apu

Leaving Montreal today and then heading south... already blew a lot of my budget on food and drinks, lol.. hopefully I'll be able to come back here near the end of August to hit up some special event
