Haven't done some track descriptions for a while, so here you go:

Jane Maximova - I Will Fly
A wonderful talent out of Russia, Jane Maximova can write and produce with a beautiful, considered subtlety. This track is taken from her new album "Wabi Sabi" and features some of the most soothing melodies I have ever heard. That rare track that I feel truly encapsulates what these mixes are all about.
Rogue Audio - Custom Made
A track that I have been searching in vain for years. It was originally named Cass - Opiate, and Dave Seaman used it to open his Essential mix. This repackaged version is slightly more downtempo but still is as powerful today as when I first heard it. Stunning work.
Serafim Tsotsonis - Fingers
The ever versatile and brilliant Serafim Tsotsonis delivers a piano-led smooth journey of a track, the more positive vibes of this track serve to contrast with the next track.
Kid Moxie - Tsunami (serafim tsotsonis remix)
Kicking in with a dark bassline this track floats away thereafter thanks to the ethereal vocals of Kid Moxie.
Serafim Tsotsonis - On/Off (ion remix)
More music from Greece with Ion enjoying a chilled remix of that man Tsotsonis.
Jane Maximova - Essence Of Warmth
Second track from Maximova's new album. A bit pacier than the first but with all the love, care, warmth and attention that is her style.
Lmo Project - Natural Innocence (christian fourkis remix)
Deep, sexy and spacey. A great track, reminiscent of some of Sultan's early work.
Mobilize - Unhuman Imagination
I used a Mobilize track in my last mix and their EP has just been released, with this being the pick. Love the background noises in this.
Info - Strogguli Diadromi
Whoa, did anyone say aggressive Greek vocals with heavy-hitting breakbeat? Thought not. This just works, and works extremely well. The drop, build and payoff make me punch the air!
Ion - Iris (acropod remix)
Transition into hypnotic, floaty prog now. This track ebbs and flows, teasing you with muffled suggestions of melodies.
Hypnotic Duo - Sound Of Glory (mars needs lovers remix)
Mars Needs Lovers a relatively new name to me, but I am definitely keeping an eye on them after their last few releases. This energetic track increase the tempo of the mix.
Mango - Forever July (shiftone remix)
Arthur Deep's alias Shiftone on remix duties for Mango....that could never fail. Full of trancy peaks and troughs this.
Hybrid - Can You Hear Me (eelke kleijn remix)
Wowzer, what a humdinger of a track. Love the orchestral strings, the building atmosphere and the shouty vocals. Reminds me a lot of Planet Funk - Inside All The People.
Ian O'Donovan - Aurora Borealis
I heard this on John Digweed's essential mix and it stood out a country mile. Reminds me of prog a few years back, when epic was the theme of the day. Suitably Epic this is too.
Midtone - Pearl
A stonewall classic, probably should of included it earlier in one of my mixes but it slipped my mind.
Sonifunk + NSL - Lifted Higher (airillusions remix)
Now time for some banging trance! We've earned it. There is still a small, tiny amount of good trance tracks being made. There are just so rare, it's almost luck to stumble upon them.
Tastexperience - Spectrum (zodiacal light remix)
Tastexperience are having some sort of renaissance, for which I am overjoyed. Zodiacal light add a bit for fizz to the originals sumptuous melodies. Only Tastexperience make tracks like this.
Aeresol - Sleepy Sunset
And we gently slip into sleep...or do we?
Monsieur Minimal - Lollipop
This track has so much goddamn charm, I love it's little plucky spirit. Wonderfully emotive at the end when the vocals kick in.

Is it just me or is the first song skipping a bit every few seconds?
Just the first one so far as ive noticed.

Other than that, great mix as usual

Re: 005 Windmill Sessions Redux (melodic electronica)

Another fantastic mix, definitely in the fold and sound of the previous Redux mixes and with some new sounds and producers.

Don't worry I will always continue to make mixes, as much for my own pleasure as anyone else

Hope you like!

Yeah it's definitely not the recording, so must be the actual tune. I've listened to "I Will Fly" loads and loads now and can't notice any skipping...I guess you may mean the stuttery percussion maybe?

Glad you liked the mix

It's a tune isn't it? I'm keeping an eye on both Hypnotic Duo and Mars needs Lovers from now on.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah i guess so. In this case it seems out of place and distracting, but ill have to live with it lol

Gorm will be happy his Lifted Higher Remix is regarded, great tune it is.

Thank you man.

Yeah I didn't know Gorm Sorensen was Airillusions at first, already familiar with his chillout work through Silk obviously. I did a little bit of research and found out he turns his hand to trance as well, and a fine, considered hand it is too.

If you know the guy, pass on my regards for the track and tell him to produce more stuff! Would love to hear an Airillusions EP to see what that sounds like.

No doubt, will let him know.
His radioshow is quite similar to this set so i'm sure he'll be more than happy to take a listen aswell.

Excellent, appreciate the feedback. Quality melodic tunes is what this mix series is all about hopefully.

So good. Sooooo good. Thanks for another wicked mix.

All the stuff you post here is awesome quality, both for track selection and technical skills. I'm curious if you do many gigs?

Thumbs up

Thanks, that is great praise.

Nah I don't do gigs. It is something I would love to do but have no idea how to go about it, I don't really know anyone who is into the scene as such. Also, this kind of music isn't really that popular in England as it falls halfway between trance and lounge, at least in a promoters mind. Maybe I should get a radio show or something, again no idea how that happens!
