Fixing a kick with crunchy sub?

I'm using this kick, but the tail of it is really loose and I'm not too keen on it. Is there any way to fix this up? Would I be better off going with a new kick or perhaps layering? Do you guys think it sounds ok?

Does your drum programmer allow you to modify the decay of the sample(s)? Give that a whirl.

There we go, it was actually the release that was giving the problem. Adjusted it so the crunchy part is right at the end. Cleaned it right up. Thanks for the guidance!
