Riddles

anyone into riddles...i found one that has stump me for awhile...does anyone know the answer??? you can post any riddles that you like too.

alright here is the one that has stump me:
What is greater than God, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it and if you eat it you will die...

Easy... NOTHING

How about these?
1. What do men do standing up,
women do siting down and
dogs do on 3 legs?

2. What has roots as nobody sees, is taller than trees up, up it goes yet never grows?

3. Thirty white horses on a red hill, first they champ, then they stamp, then they stand still?

4. Voiceless it cries, wingless flutters, toothless bites, mouthless mutters?

5. An eye in a blue face saw an eye in a green face. " That eye is like to this eye" Said the first eye, "But in low place not in high place"?

6. It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, cannot be heard, cannot be smelt. It lies behind stars and under hills, and empty holes it fills. It comes first and follows after, ends life, kills laughter?

7. A box without hinges, key or lid, yet golden treasure inside is hid?

8. Alive without breath, as cold as death; never thirsty, always drinking, all in mail, never clinking?

9. This thing all things devours: Birds, beasts, trees flowers; gnaws iron, bites steel; grinds hard stones to meal; slays kings, ruins town and beats high mountains down?

alright, i gotta another one for you smarty-pants, unless you have heard of this one too

a man walks into a bar...he asks for a tall glass of water. the bartender pours a tall glass of water, sets it right in front of him, and then he pulls out a gun. the man that asked for the water walks out of the bar completely satisfied without touching the glass of water...what just happened???

One eye is the Sun in a blue sky, the other eye is a camp fire in a grass field.

i sat here trying to solve just one of those riddles, besides that urinates one...

igottaknow needs to gottaknow less in riddles...

the person who uses it, doesn't know it,
what is it???

The man had hiccups and the bartender scared him to make him lose them, so he didnt need a glass of water.

Sorry dude I really like riddles. Most of the ones that have been posted I've read sometime in my life. So its like trying to remember end of a story that you haven't read in a long time.

Here's a classic riddle:

You get many of me, but never enough.

If a butcher is 6'5" tall, has a size twleve shoe, has a 44 inch waist, then what does he weigh?


If 7-11 is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, why are there locks on the doors?

ok, some easy ones that all of you should have heard...

If you SAY it a special way to someome, you can get them to say the wrong answer! EVERY time I asked someone this querstion, they ALWAYS get it wrong becasue of the way I say it (fast, only about 90% clear)... Same thing goes when my dad used to say it to all of his co-workers: except that he said it 100% clear!
