-- help with cue files???
help with cue files???
mad love goes to the one who can explain this in simple terms!!!
alright, after reading this thread, and trying to figure this whole cue sheet thing out, i still haven't made a cd with the track cues in them...here is the situation:
i have iomega cd burner with the iomega hotburn software
i downloaded fireburner (which is a cd creation software, right?)
i also use winamp, and downloaded mp3cue (which i don't think is running with my winamp, i don't know how to open it with winamp either)
i'm trying to use tiesto isos 1 comp. as an example to figure this out
i also have a cue sheet that i got from dc hub as well
alright, these are things that i don't understand
1. i know how to turn my mp3 in a wav format, but do i do this before i worry about my cue sheet? or do i add my cue sheet before i turn the mp3 into wav?
2. how do i add the cue sheet, so that it separates the songs form each other...can i do this in winamp, or do i do this fireburner?
3. the cue sheet looks like it's in a text document (notebook) form, is it supposed to be that way, and how do you add a text file into either the winamp or fireburner?
4. i guess i'm really lost in the way you put in the cue files: whether you do it before the mp3 is turned into a wave file, and whether you do it in winamp or in fireburner
anyone that can help me with this i would appreciate...i know, i know, i probably need step by step help with this, i'm just really confused and really slow i guess. thanks again

Try CDRWin.
That way all you have to do is load the cue file.
As long as the cue file and target file are in the same directory you should be fine.
I believe it will automatically convert an existing MP3 file to WAV on the fly for you as long as your cue file says that the source is MP3.
(Can someone else correct that if I'm wrong; I haven't exactly done this enough times to remember the whole process).
Guess I'll have to search myself lol
Ok, here's what I found:
http://pub97.ezboard.com/f1015clubf...picID=748.topic
http://www.regeert.nl/cuesheet/ (this site acutally have a link to [b]US[/i] here at TrancEaddict!!!
)
and

If that doesn't do it....

I think the # 1 thing people forget to do is actually change the extension to a cue format.
change extensions from
.txt
to
.cue
To do this you will need to enable file extensions on your folder settings. *Open folder > tools > folder options > view > uncheck "hide file extensions"
voila!
by the way, I hope you are thanking Fir3start3r, since he still helped you out after you couldn't take a joke and started calling him names. Relax take a joke, have a bash.
Good luck.

Sounds truce enough for me.
Appology accepted.
But get a funbone huh?
Life's too short to be blasting & swearing at people for whatever the reason. (There is never a 'good' reason for that).
Anyways, let's move on, no need to drag this out.
I'm just glad I could help a brother TA out.
