[Dub/DnB] - Arcadia

So I picked up another DAW (Reason 4), and it seems quite nice for DnB and Dubstep! I wasn't sure if it was cool to post that stuff here but I saw someone else post up a dubstep track so I thought hey why not. (This explains why the track is a month old...I was scurred to share)

In any case! I did this on request for a friend who's making a video for an online game...He wanted something kind of ADD/Sporatic and goofy. It gave me a chance to try dubstep/dnb... I kinda liked the result, so I thought I'd share it here.

The only sample I used was the intro, which would have been a pain to replicate, so I figured I'd save some time. The rest of the sounds were mimicked using subtractor. (Wobble is THOR)

Final note is that I played the strings on my KX61 and didn't quantize, so it may sound a touch funky. (I liked the result, so hey, why not leave it in it's naturally improvved state?)

love the strings, bass is lacking that sub, sounds little too basic.

There's an LFO'd high lead sound in there that i'm SURE is from the old arcade game Phoenix

Nice arcade sounds! I really enjoy them.

However, it does feel a bit empty overall and that bassline is too prominent for my tastes.

Love the FX and strings, too!
